Unless they're jiggleing slots at NRT for the TPE flight and play that card... direct to China w/o the NRT tansfer... all fun and speculation for the next 24 hours

SEA already has CI and BR to TPE, so don't know that that could be sustained, and ICN already has both KE and OZ 5x a week each.

KIX or HKG? I recall reading one of the Port Commissioner's comments that they were looking for nonstop service to HKG. Don't know about HKG range with a 330.

If NW has China Authority for 2009, could be an announcement for PEK or CAN to start in the new year.

What about to Skyteam partner hub SVO?

Maybe it's the official big hoopla about the upcoming SEA-LHR route?

Nope, NW applied for and was awarded DTW-PVG to begin next year. Not from SEA and not to PEK or CAN.

Doesn't NW have a few authorities that are CONUS-China and can be operated as either passenger service or cargo. Right now they are used by the cargo operation, but with the lost of DHL maybe the math works out better in the passenger business.

We already had our LHR hoopla.... which was limited because it wasn't a new destination from Seattle. I can't imagine the governor would be attending unless it is something new.

nah, the confetti is all swept up from that hoopla. If I were betting, I'd guess KIX.

Anyone want to crash the announcement tomorrow? Make it a nano-do?

Now would be a good time to play the "How many free 330's are there." Is MEM-AMS still a 332? If so, maybe they could upguage a DTW/MSP-AMS flight to 744 (there are 3 idle ones right now), freeing up a 333 to replace the 332 and cycle the 332 to SEA for pacific service.

Just checked, MEM-AMS is now on a 333. So that would not work. Going to need to find a 332 for transpac.

MEM-AMS is a 333 today through the end of the schedule.

KIX gets my vote.

Three idle 744's? I am assuming these are the spares in case of equipment issues on the current ones, not three more on top of that.. right?

Where'd the A333 that was operating SEA-HNL go? Was that the plane to become SEA-LHR?

How about SEA-MKE, that's international right

I'll go with the others thinking SEA-HKG or SEA-KIX
Longshot SEA-NGO, SEA-MNL assuming this is not more european service.

The other quesiton is rather than where are the free A33x, is, where and how could the 744s be shuffled to support some new service ex-SEA?
