Radiocycle - Why do you ask? Is it your intention to share this anecdotal information with NW? If so, wouldn't a more comprehensive study be in order?

1104 MDW-DTW, only water pre-flight. Good service in flight though - full can of juice and 2 passes on the snack box.

However, a colleague in Y said no drinks at all back there (probably due to the fact it's only a 40 min flight)

NWA 584 MSP-MCO Sunday, 12/17

Nothing pre-departure. But I did get to watch the F/C Flight Attendant eat her McDonald's in the galley before the door closed. And not served a drink until :50 after departure.

Excellent Predeparture drink service CMH/MSP/SMF

I had great ^ predeparture drink service yesterday. There was a full choice of hot/cold beverages (although I didn't notice anyone ordering alcoholic beverages 7:00 AM and 9"20 AM departures!)

Perhaps it was because the GA allowed about 5 minutes between FC preboarding and general boarding.

12/18 CMH/MSP NW 1489 -- Pre-departure drinks served

12/18 MSP/SMF Flight: NW 395 -- Pre-departure drinks served

Please post any flights this month (December 2006) that you were seated in domestic FC and were only offered H20 or not offered a predeparture beverage.

18/12 - #554F DEN-MSP not even offered H2O!
18/12 - #547F MSP-DEN

As an aside, MSP-ORD-MSP same date on AA in First, both offered predeparture drinks

pre-flight drinks were offered on
NW 460 and 211 on 12/15 as well as NWA 250/1132.
I was particularly impressed with NW 250...full beverage service was available including wine and coffee AND the flight attendants came back to offer refills before leaving the gate. Actually, the flight attendants on this flight were paid so much attention to every little detail that I could safely say that it rivaled the service I had while flying biz on All Nippon from NRT - SFO. To make a long story short, I was quite surprised to get this level of service on a domestic nwa flight.

Pre departure drinks must be up for negotiation in the FA contract..or part of an effort to reduce turn time.

No pre-departure drinks, only water, offered on 881 MEM-MSY last night, Tuesday Dec. 19. I'm only somewhat bitter. Don't they realize that we've had a tough life in New Orleans and could use a drink? There seemed to be oodles of time.

In-flight adult beverage service was, however, excellent, fast and professional, with time for a refill for those who wanted it despite its being only a 55 minute flight. So maybe it came from higher up not to serve the pre-departure drinks?

Neither. Pre-departure drinks are not in our contract.
