Unless you are trying to slide by with something that technically disqualifies you (like I am on my current new account
) I would not worry to much. I think most problems with miles not posting are from people double dipping. My last two accounts initially failed to post properly (I'm sure because they were opened in somewhat fast succession with the two accounts before them) but none the less when I called the 1-877-292-4273 it was very easily rectified and I got my miles.

My wife and I both opened accounts at the local branch on the 28th and were given printouts of both the 10K and the 15K requirements.

I missed out on opening another account. Do you think they would still honor it if I go in tomorrow or am I wasting my time?

no, I knew about it for a while but was too lazy. I assumed they would keep running it. I think this offer is dead going forward. I some coins to drop off so well see what they say. I'm crossing my fingers.

I also applied earlier in September - here is my timing:
Account opened on September 4. The first statement cut on September 13 (a day or two after my debit card arrived).
I made my 6 debit card transactions (5 + 1, just to be on the safe side) all on September 18th. My second statement hasn't cut yet, but today I noticed 22,500 miles deposited into my Continental account (dated September 27).
I didn't realize that Chase and Continental "talked" to each other between statement dates, but they apparently do. I'm sure the last 2,500 points will come at some point in the future.

However my fiancee showed only the 15k coupon as well, and she hadn't opened one up this year.

I'd say, call Chase Bank first. They're the ones dealing with your bank account and the ones who did the paperwork in the first place.

Then you should also contact Chase to get them to update it going-forward. (probably the number given previously in this thread - 1-877-292-4273)

Ok maybe I'm getting senile. I recall a few weeks ago there were either posts in this thread or a separate one of people successfully getting chase to waive or refund the $65 fee for the card. I have tried searching but can't find anything. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

+1. Or are they going to convert this to a United program?
