Matching to AA

Has anybody matched to AA, and if so, for how long is that status valid? Thanks!

Has anyone tried calling CO to expedite a match.
I have 2 bags to check tomorrow at 6AM and 3 bags to check Sunday morning on UA.
I would save me some cash if I could get matched tonight!

This only works if you are employed with a company that has some manner of corporate account or agreement with AA. THere is some discussion about this either upthread here or in an AA forum thread. That apparently is why the form requires entering a corporate email address, presumably so it is cross-referenced.

AA normally only matches via a paid challenge - see the master thread or sticky on the AA forum, there is a link explaining all about the challenge process.

After 32 minute of hold with CO.
They told me they have no record of 2nd and third messages.
Told me to send again. I asked if I could send directly to a supervisor that can handle match now, and she told me no that it had to be the original person who started my match.

I have a question though:
If I don't put any FF number in for my UA flight tomorrow and then add it once my match is complete will I receive the 100% RDM bonus? or Would I be risking recieving no EQM or RDM for the flight?

Ok, thanks. I couldn't find anything upthread, but I will check out the AA forum.

Received a response this morning that I had been matched to Silver. I started to write them back to ask why I was not matched Plt to Plt but checked my CO and I was indeed matched to plt as requested so it must of just been a typo on COs part. Anyway, I am glad this is finished.
Thanks for all the help from everyone here.

Dear XXX:

Thank you for contacting the OnePass Service Center. .

OnePass offers a promotion that matches the elite status of some airline frequent flyer programs with an equivalent level in the OnePass Elite program. .We are unable to process your request because we do not match Star Alliance partner airlines.

Hi all,
I am currently BA Silver and i would like to have a status match to a *A airline, I am based in Europe and i travel intercontinental very rare, almost all of my flights are in Europe. My preferred airline would be Aegean, had anyone success with them? I would like also to ask something else, my silver membership with BA gives me all the Business Class benefits which *Silver will not, is it fair asking for a *G as the benefits that i would want from them would be lounge access and Business Class check in?

Thanks

No go on Continental

I've had a THAI gold card for many years and tried to status-match to Continental. Just got the same response as jlisi984 did. Still waiting for Delta to answer.

Dear Mr. XXXX:

Thank you for contacting the OnePass Service Center and for your interest in our Elite Match offer.

Unfortunately, we are unable to process your request. Due to the reciprocal frequent flyer partnership we have with all Star Alliance partners, we are unable to match your Thai Airways elite status.

If you currently hold elite status with another non-Star Alliance frequent flyer program, please submit your documents.

Regards,

XXXX

I'm surprised no one has posted this yet. Word is that as of this past Monday, Continental stopped doing regular status matches and is instead only do challenges similar to United, where you would need to fly 10k for Silver, 17.5k for Gold and 35k for Platinum in the next 90 days to actually receive the status. From what I understand, people have contacted the OPSC and confirmed this.
