SSNZ, does this include other OW frequent flyers? I have been CX Diamond for many years and am moving out of HK but would prefer to stay with OW. Best fit with my future travel pattern is Qantas.

I have known OW frequent flyers ask - iirc one of them was BA Gold and another had CX status but I'm not sure of the tier.

As with anything....... it never hurts to ask though!

Hi,

After reading the posts in this forum I decided to email a few *A airlines requesting a status match. (I am currently a QF WP but need to fly on Air Canada and maybe AirNZ a few times in the next year or so).

AirNZ replied with:

"Thank you for your email enquiry regarding status matches.
If you are able to send us evidence of your status with Qantas I am sure we can come to a suitable arrangement. We would require a scanned copy of a statement, your current card (including the expiry date) and details of upcoming trips with us.
We look forward to having you fly with us."


BMI replied with:

"Thank you for your email,

We offer status match to members who have recently taken flights with bmi or have flights booked for travel with bmi. Once you have made your first bmi reservation, please send me your booking reference and I will process your upgrade request for you.
Best regards"


No reponse yet from UA or CO.

AC replied that my query "could not be responded to electronically".

How long did you have to wait for a reply from BMI?

Only about 24 hours - was a fairly quick response

Sorry for taking so long to reply... I just happened to be browsing this thread today. I sent an e-mail to [email protected]. I included a copy of my UA card, as well as mileage statements from 2009, as well as what I had this year. CX asked for confirmation #s of future itineraries. As I didn't have any definite planes yet, I gave them a few sample dates/flights that I was looking at purchasing. It was a simple process and I just received luggage tags and my MPC card in the mail.^

Today, Continental denied my request to status match from United. They cited common membership in Star Alliance.

I am seeking help for my friend. He has platinum status with Iberia and submitted status match request to Delta. He sent email and faxed the copy his card and statement but did not get any response. His status with Delta is not changed. It has been more than 4 weeks.

He has been DL platinum member before. I am not sure if it is the problem.

What are the *A Airlines that currently do status matches other than CO/UA/BMI?

I am currently Delta Diamond. By the end of May, I should have about 67k MQM. I am considering a status match to Continental, as i have a trip booked with them in late July and am considering a trip in June that looks like Star Alliance has the best fares.

If I request a match now, will they match to Platinum? If so, will that match only extend through Feb 2011? If I can make Platinum on Delta through Feb 2012, will they match through Feb 2012?
