CO wont match Frontier Summit

I just got this response from CO about trying to match my F9 Summit status...

"Dear Mr. L:

Thank you for contacting the OnePass Service Center.

OnePass offers a promotion that matches the elite status of some airline frequent flyer programs with an equivalent level in the OnePass Elite program. The airline you are inquiring about is not eligible to participate in the match program.

Regards,

OnePass Customer Service Manager"

Anyone have any luck getting matched from Frontier to someone who flys Intl?? Im hoping to get challenge match from United, but am scared now because of this response from CO.

CO matchs Delta Silver

My friend did this within the last week or two.

"Dear Mr. XXXXXXXXX:

Thank you for contacting the OnePass Service Center.

OnePass offers a promotion that could match the current earned elite status
of another airline frequent flyer program with an equivalent level in the
OnePass Elite program. Some airlines are not eligible for this program and
it may not be processed at the airport. We will need to review documents
from the eligible airline. You may submit an e-mail attachment* or mail the
documents along with your OnePass account number to:

OnePass Elite Match
PO Box 4757
Houston, TX 77210-4757

*The following file types may be included as attachments in your e-mail:
doc, pdf, rtf, txt, xls, bmp, gif, jpg, jpeg, png, tif and tiff. There is
a size limit of 3MB per attachment. We strongly suggest that personal
data; such as a passport, driver’s license or Social Security number not be
attached in an e-mail.

Please include the following information:

-Full Name
-OnePass Account Number
-Current Address
-Current Phone Number
-A copy of the most recent statement from the other airline showing status
and current mileage
-A copy of your current elite card from the other airline

Regards,

My friend is happy.

US won't match AA

Last November my brother tried to match AA Gold to US Silver. He mentioned in his letter (I actually wrote it for him :D) that he'd relocated to midway between BWI and SBY and US was best for him. He was informed that US no longer does status matches.

Thanks. I am not sure what the agent I spoke to was talking about. I wil send and report results. Thanks again.

CO did match my Delta Sil status in 2 days. I just saw the changed staus this morning. It just proves again, often the Agents have no idea about what is going on with the airline. Nuts! Thanks again for the help.

Delta matched my US Airways Chairman to Medallion Gold

Just had Delta match my US Airways Chairman status with their Medallion Gold status. Submitted paperwork to their customer service team end of December. Took about a month to process through. I am a bit disappointed that they did not match to Platinum... I was not expecting Diamond, of course, but I feel that the Chairman's tier on US Airways is at least equivalent to the Delta Platinum...

CO stats match

I just did a status match to CO airlines. I was given a gold card until February, 2010. Did anyone else get a status Match to CO, and if so, how long is your Gold Card good for? Thanks for any and all help.

Advice for a Status Match Newbie?

Howdy,

So, here's the deal ... GF moved to Denver for a job that will (hopefully) last through the end of '10. I'll be flying there once or twice a month, minimum. I'm a DL plat. Tried a status match on UA, because their sked is better ATL-DEN and often cheaper than DL. Got the 'ask again in February' and the '90-day trial period' response.

No way I can fly 15k in 90-days on UA ex-ATL, so now I'm thinking of matching to CO. All I really want is free E+ on UA (when it is implemented later this year). If an upgrade comes now and then, so be it. Also doesn't really matter to me which I collect miles on, as the bulk of my flying will remain DL.

Need some advice, though ...

- Is this a good idea? Or is there a better solution that I am missing?

- When should I pull the trigger on the match request as to insure I'll have the bennies through the end of '10? (I am out of town on a work assignment all of February, so my first trip to DEN is first weekend in March.)

- Once I have CO plat, assuming I'm treated the way others are, what's my next move? Is there something else worth matching to something else off my CO plat? If so, when is the best time of the year to do that to insure I'd have that airline's bennies through '11?

- I'll throw in one more, in case any UAers stumble upon this post. Will CO elites get E+ access on international flights? What about E+ for companions?

TIA.

Are you sure you mean February 2010? Did you get gold for just one moth?

I'm a bit curious if anyone have any experience matching BA to CO.

I'm currently BA Silver. A friend who is also silver, got mtched his status to gold on DL. Then i see further up in this thread that someone got their DL gold status matched ton CO gold, which means that my BA silver status should be worth gold on CO - at least if I go "via Delta". Does anyone have any experience which tier CO will give you if matching from BA Silver?

I need your help

Hello all,

I'm new in here, and have absolutely no info about how to start a efficient FF account. I realize that some questions might be dumb, but an advice from you guys will help me a lot.

I'm interested in having an Delta SkyMiles cs i live in Detroit. I fly around 5,000 domestic and 15,000 international miles every year, at least.

Do you think status match would be working for me in a year time or it does not depend on how much time it takes.

Any thoughts about the skymiles awards feedback???

Thank you for your time,
QD20

Welcome to Flyertalk, QD20!

In regards to your questions, there's some things to consider:
1) Do you have existing status on another airline? The status match is generally made for those who ALREADY are elite on a competitors airline. If you have no status anywhere, you'll need to get at least the minimum on some airline somewhere to be considered for a match elsewhere (which defeats the purpose).

2) That said, you may want to go and make a challenge on AA or possible US or any airline that offers a challenge. I am unaware of any challenge or accelerated elite status on DL but I may be wrong.

3) As for Skymiles, from my own POV, the airline itself is fine, I have not had issues as a Platinum. However, from a redemption standpoint, it's been beyond frustrating getting premium international award seats. The availability of inventory sucks. You can find out more about the SM program over at the Delta forum. Be warned, it can get pretty heated there on certain views, especially the value of Skymiles for award redemption.

I'll also add that if you search around for "new frequent flyer program" or something along that line, you'll see posts that have a similar theme to yours (i.e. which FFP to choose).

Other than that, good luck on your quest.

Good until next month? That's a pretty raw deal...

no response at all

I am confused. This is the second time I have emailed a status match request to continental and united following the advice and suggestions presented here in this thread and this is the second time i have received NO response. Not even a denial, just ...just...nothing.

What should my next move be?

Hi folks,

looking to tap into the pool of experts here.

I have platinum flying blue and not likely to use them again this year, but I am planning to fly a fair bit SQ and UA and maybe even CO. Would there be any value in trying to get a leg up with a match from UA or CO. If so how do I go about it?

I just had this status match from CSA OK Plus Gold (ST+) to OnePass Gold (*G). Basically send them scan of last account statement, copy of a current card and estimate of travel plans for 2010. Done in 3 days. I really plan on moving business to *A carriers as CSA cut flights to e.g. Istanbul, wher I fly quite often, so I was hoping I will not have fly without this status for long.

This is from the status match confirmation email I've received from CO around Oct:

"Your Elite card will show valid through next February. You will receive a new Elite card in February that will be valid through the following February."

Didn't you get one as well?
