Sorry for not responding sooner, but I didn't get any response or update from Delta until yesterday when I checked my account and saw that I had Gold Medallion status! Yes, I emailed it in to [email protected]

Could you tell me how long it took them to process? I emailed to Delta and CO with match request on Thursday, so far - nothing from either. May be I did something wrong? I emailed them PDF attachements from my AA account showing status and milage balance.

Virgin Atlantic was giving away free silver status, so i got it cause it was free. They even sent me a welcome packet with the card. I fly united mostly but dont have status yet, do you think I could use my free virgin silver status to get united to match it with premier?

Took me about 4 weeks for Delta...and I never heard from them either. I just logged into my account online and my status had changed.

American Challenge

I flew over 100k on Northwest last year, and have done every year for the last 8 years. Today tried to get AA to match status, but they wouldn't. Made me take the challenge, and only for Platinum, not Executive Platinum. However, after calling 3 different times, and pushing (very nicely), I did get them to agree to make me Gold immediately while I take the Platinum challenge. Feels like a victory, even though it isn't what I really wanted.

Asked UA to comp from AA Exp Plat last week. Got this email :

...Thank you for contacting us.

We invite you to submit a status match request beginning February 2, 2010. We are no longer accepting requests for the remainder of 2009 as we are in the process of fulfilling our 2010 elite card distribution.....

Strange reply. I send request last week, not 2009. And why don't they just put the requests in queue instead of having people re-send. And wouldn't the card distribution be automated?

I don't know about status match with Kingfisher - but you can "buy" gold status with taking a Rs. 5000 Kingfisher/Amex credit card. It gives you around 18K free miles - enough (IMO) to compensate for the Rs. 5000!

I received the same reply.

However, - Continental matched AA Plat to OnePass Gold. 24 hour turnaround time.

Seeking Star Alliance Match from Delta Silver

Did not reach Delta Silver until 12/09. Just called CO for match and was told they had window for matching from mid-Oct to mid-Dec. Explained I was not elite until after window but was told "Sorry". Any suggestions since CO and Star Alliance make much more sense than Skyteam. And they seem to have better benefits as well. Should I try United or USAir?

CSA gold / elite plus status match to star alliance

Hi,

my friend would like to switch to austrian or lufthansa (since they have the same FFP) from Skyteam elite plus / Czech Airlines GOLD because of flight availability (because he moved to a different country).

Can you advise how to proceed, I searched around this site and around google and didn't find much answers, most of them were dated before 2007 and doesn't work anymore.
