I've received multiple NW bonus opportunities that are combinable, so for flying LAX-LAS I will get 10,000 bonus miles, halfway to silver for next year (only 2 flights needed total) and I get other points for the extreme miles promo and the regular 1500 miles for flying. Not bad for under $99.

For my second flight (not yet booked,) I will get another 10,000 bonus miles and get silver elite to February 2007.

They sent me a offer through the mail for Elite Silver guest status until Feb 2006. To qualify until Feb 2007 I need to fly twice.
For the first flight I get 5,000 bonus miles and on the second flight I get 10,000 bonus miles. every flight must be a roundtrip, no one ways.

Also, I got another offer "World Perks Flight Offer 2005" which gave me 1,000 miles for signing up for their emails and 5,000 bonus miles for my first flight from them.

I can combine the two so I booked a RT from LAX to LAS. The funny thing is I have to be in LAX, so I had to book returns each day on WN to do it.

Well, technically it isn't, but I doubt claiming it will get you audited.

cool, but isnt this sequence of events kinda like having your wife unknowingly drive you to the house of your mistress all while foolin around with her daughter on the side?

Personally...

Can't beat the Fiji tix, or "dash to the gate" but personally:

* UA promo: Fly business class once/twice to Asia in a period and get a free system wide coach/business class ticket. Obviously only works if you are traveling on business but as I was in this time period, makes it nice to not have to spend miles for a ticket.

* FFN: Accured around a week of free nights at Park/Grand Hyatt.

Will both be used to an annual trek out to see friends in Tokyo later this month.

Although Hilton's Walk for Hope promotion started last Fall, they certainly added value this year by allowing registration of another "virtual" walker. I think we did 2 walks in the Spring and we have another 3 coming up.

And I'm surprised no one has mentioned Hilton's ill-fated CTCH promotion. Say what you will about their after-the-fact audits that yanked it back for those who didn't qualify (and much has been said)- I think the people on this Board got a lot of benefits while it lasted.

Finally, DL's "dash to the gate" points were welcome since they alleviated some of the "sticker shock" when I tried to book MCI-MYR for 3 people over Christmas this year ($500/person RT compared to $20-300 in prior years). Those points gave me enough to get my son a free ticket.

I think that each of the credit bureaus have their own scale as do other companies, but the score operated by Fair Isaac Corp (thus the FICO name), only goes to 850.

Re: OP. I missed all the feeding frenzies, so would have to say the NW 2x miles promo, even though I just barely missed it on an ATL-BKK and caught it only for an ATL-ANC, which I had booked beforehand. Still can't complain. It's one of few recent promos that remind me of the big ones CO used to do, circa 2000.

Actually, I believe that City of Hope valued the HHonors points at $16, meaning that the amount of the donation above the $16 could be deducted were you to itemize your taxes.

More discussion can be found here.

For me the BA triple miles. I am gold, so its around 60,000 miles for a return to europe in WT+. That is more than enough for a WT return to europe.

I am 3 returns in, so thats 90'000 from 3 flights.

Wouldn't it be nice to have the 2006 version of this as a sticky, edited to reflect offers that have expired or been changed?
