Can anyone clarify the Hyatt offer? This year it seems you are buying points that are only available for specific categories over a certain amount of nights? Or is the example shown, simply a possible way you could use the points?

Maybe I am reading into this too much, but I was hoping to freely be able to use my 24k/30k/40k/72k points as I wanted.

I assumed that if they are depositing points, you are free to use them as you wish.

The wording has not changed from previous years. Once the points are in your account, you can do whatever you like with them.

So I believe there's no additional discount for Amex this year, price looks like it includes 20% compared to last few years

There was no Amex discount already last year. The last year we got 10% off with Amex was 2014.

Which deal are you referring to regarding the 20% increase?

erm... I see 10 available?

If you mean "Quantity per purchase: 1", that means that one person can only buy one at the time.

If you have as few as 6k points, this can be done without locking up money (in a Choice account) for a long time and hoping not to get hit by a rather sudden devaluation of Choice points when you have a relatively large Choice account balance.
I understand that with cash+points, you are paying $7.50 per 1,000 pts. This is not as good the Daily Getaway Deals, where you are paying $ 4 per 1000 pts.
