Husband just made this mistake, purchased a gift card, but it shows on American Express pending as 7-Eleven.
This is no longer pending and is now listed under Latest Transactions as 7-Eleven.

Timelines similar to Jerry's. I bought on 12/26 and 12/27
$7 credits all showed up the morning (12/30) after the "Congrats" email arrived (12/29).

The credits show up at Amex.ca, online txn. Doesn't need to wait for a statement cycle.

1000 free Aeroplan points (targetted)

Just a reminder this promotion is still open.
Could be an easy 1000 Aeroplan miles for you.

This is a targetted promotion.
But I discovered I was invited for it awhile ago.

If you opted in to Aeroplan emails, search your past emails for Aeroplan myth.
You might have received an offer to get 1000 Aeroplan miles for answering a short quiz.
I got my email on November 25.

More discussion:

Thanks to 24left for posting the image and margarita-girl for spotting the offer in October.

!!!
As of January 16, 2017: the Aeroplan 1000 point "myth" promotion appears to no longer be active.
!!!

If you ask for them to be reissued (and use the same link), you might get 9000 more points

Do they still offer 1000 points? I can't find reference to it anywhere. Instead, the first supplementary is now FYF.

Hi all, does anyone know if MBNA Rewards World Elite MasterCard offers the same type of miles as MBNA Alaska Airlines MasterCard?

I have 25K MBNA Alaska Airlines Miles and I'm wondering if the bonus for the Rewards World Elite card will add miles to my existing balance ...

Thanks!

No, MBNA Rewards miles can't be combined with any airline frequent flyer program.

With Alaska or any other airline, the credit card company simply pushes rewards miles to that airline program.

Here's MBNA's FAQ: (PDF)

Yes, I received my 1000 miles.

I replied to a "myth" email that I discovered Aeroplan had sent me a while back.
If you don't get email from Aeroplan, then YMMV.
