Well, I must be one of the people Delta is trying to get rid of, having requalified PM in 2013 on only $1,177 on spending they counted. If they had counted partner tickets (AM, AF, KL) it would have put it in between silver and gold, but MM status has the silver part covered anyway.

So I either have to fly the miles AND spend at least $5K to get a higher status than what I have, or I might as well spend $0.

So I'll be looking to see if there's someplace else to jump. I've spent about half my flying career at high elite levels on non-DL carriers (not easy if in ATL), but there are fewer choices now.

Yes, I am well aware of the challenge dates. I did in fact email United about this and they adjusted my challenge dates to 4/10/13, so I'm happy now.

Sent in DL DM statement to United. Matched to 1K. Process took six days.

"To remain a Premier 1K member through 2014, you will need to fly 35,000 Premier qualifying miles (PQM) or 40 Premier qualifying segments (PQS) on flights operated by United®, United Express® or Copa within that 90-day timeframe."

You could try Aerolineas Argentinas.
I tried China Airlines and got no answer.

AR has an active status match program but does not list any of your airlines.

Do you get GPUs or other upgrades if you do a challenge?

The email did not mention and I didn't think to ask since my intention for the match wasn't to complete the challenge to keep the status anyway.

By the way, this was the third time (same account number) over the last ten years that I have been comped status on AS based on UA status
Could you please advise me on how to get AS match? I am UA 1k and very close to MM.
Who would I contact, what would I say, and would I include documentation?
Thank you so much, Ms. Steppie
