If you're stuck in BKK, swing down to SIN for a drink. First round on me.

I'm not in this fare chaos, but regularly swing by Singapore. Maybe a mini SIN-DO?

I'm curious, did anyone get a response/follow up to the email from ET if they didn't opt for the options on offer?

I decided to send an email today saying I wanted confirmation from ET that they had received my first message and agreed to let me fly (I know, very wishful thinking). More just to see what response I get.

Opted for a refund and it was done pretty swiftly. Money in my card just 3 days after I replied opting for the refund. Lost about $40 in exchange rates

afraid they would not response at all and decline boarding at the spot.

That's it for me. I think someone getting denied boarding with no prior warning makes the chances of success very slim.

For those who got the email, can you share the email address ET wrote from. I'll write to them to get out of this one.

I'm just messing around with them at this point. Considering how bad their handling, may as well just add fuel to the fire.

Thanks. Will probably call the BKK office and then follow up with email then.

My ticket was confirmed , already assigned seats.

Even Ethiopian Airline sent email about online check in yesterday.

I never received any email about this itinerary.

The staff at Check in counter just said refund or Economy.

" You can not board the flight because your fare is too cheap"

YEAH , This is how Ethiopian Airline handles the fare.
Was this resolved? What did you do?

For the benefit of everyone.

Call ET BKK office today. It went something like this:

Me: I think your airline made some mistake 2 weeks ago?
Agent: Yes. Bangkok to Toronto in Business Class. We are sorry and will refund full amount regardless of fare conditions. Alternatively you will be allowed to travel in Economy Class with no extra charge.
Me: What happens if I choose to fly in Economy Class.
Agent: We will re-issue ticket in advance or at airport if checking in.

So it does seem that they are fully aware. Told me to send ticket number, passport copy and he will refund for all. Send to: [email protected]

I think you read my post wrong . YYC-YYZ is an expensive flight for a domestic canadian flight, almost more than anywhere in the US/Mexico in comparison

Absolutely!

And I WILL attempt to fly this. Have my +1 with me and I already have some ammo prepared... If not I'll refund and go alternative

I just came back to my hotel.

I don't really want 25hours flying in coach and 16 hours layover in ADD per way. 50 hours flying and 30hours layover total.

If you book any business fare from bkk to yyz , the agent will check the fare payment first and there will be no chance to board the flight. It was first time to me that agent show me the fare price(26150thb)

Were you able to online check in and get your boarding pass?
