  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

United has launched a BusinessFirst sale to Europe from the US. The fares range from $2.5k to $4k. It's not a very good deal, but better than the normal price.

Thanks for posting!

Ex-SFO starts at $3,356 "When's a sale not a sale? When it's initiated by United."

From the fine print...

*These fares are valid as of Fri., May 17, 2013 12:01 AM Central
Sale is valid for select fares on flights from the US to Europe between June 28, 2013, and September 5, 2013, with return to the US by September 5, 2013. A 60-day advance purchase and a Sunday-night stay are required.
So, while the sale may say that it's for flights starting June 28, because of the 60-day advance requirement in practice these fares can only be bought for travel on or after July 16.

And because of the Sunday night stay, also in practice the last valid outbound is on 8/31.

Couldn't they make it a little easier and say that the sale is for outbound 7/16 to 8/31?

Yeah, those are legit. That's why I limited my statement to UA-initiated sales

nice fare, but if the dutch friend can face travelling through BRU, there's another $70 or so to be shaved off
