The first two aircraft out today have Wi-Fi - think it's free systemwide today in honor of the MKE start-up.

Google is working on a deal to offer free Wi-Fi at various U.S airports, between December and January.
Wisconsin locations to include MKE and MSN.

You beat me to it, flyYX; I guess great minds do think alike.

Smoking?
I booked a flight for this coming summer with the understanding that MKE had a smoking area. I see after reading this forum that that is not the case. We have a 43 minute layover with airtran. Is there anyway my husband can make it outside to smoke and back in at this airport in 43 minutes? Last time we had a layover at MDW and the security line was over an hour long and he couldn't make it out. I was trying to be proactive this time....

I believe there is also a designated smoking area if he follows the signs for the short term parking garage, level 3.

That smoking area MAY disappear this summer. The statewide smoking ban takes effect July 1. I am not familiar with the specifics of the new legislation, so I don't know if designated outdoor smoking areas on public property will still be permitted. Just be aware the new law takes effect on July 1.

Mitchell ranks #10 in customer satisfaction
J.D. Power's 2010 North American Airport Satisfaction Study lists MKE as a small airport. I thought it was a medium sized airport?

J.D. Power defines "small" as less than 10 mil pax/year. Medium is 10-30 mil, large is 30+.
The "small" airports outranking MKE are: IND, RSW, TUS, JAX, AUS, PVD, PBI, ABQ and PIT.
(I agree that anyone casually referring to MKE as a "small" airport has never been to a TRULY small airport.)

A request has been made to permanently relocate this discussion from it's previous location in the Midwest Miles forum to here in the new Frontier parent forum.
As a matter of organizational coherence it probably belongs in the one of U.S. regional subfora where most other airport-centric topics reside. But rather than completely uprooting a long running thread from its original home, we've copied and transplanted it here while leaving a closed stem behind for posterity's sake.
Bear in mind that my interpretation of proper location of this thread may be overridden by the board host at any time in the future. For now, carry on.
