TSA PreCheck mobile enrollment coming to MKE
For a limited time, sign-up for PreCheck will be available at MKE. The current enrollment location at 38th & Wisconsin in Milwaukee is not in the most convenient nor best area.
This is a good opportunity, for those who have been thinking of enrolling.

Not all passengers started in MKE. It was busy but a lot never went through security. YX originating passengers never would equal what MKE does today.
DL parks a 753 and several MD80s as well as RJs. F9 parks one 319. AA has a MD80, 319 and a couple RJs. D Security early morning is busy to say the least.

It is busy at times now, but I have never seen it as busy as it was when YX was operating. YX lines came in spurts--as did all concourses--but the lines now are not nearly as long as they were with YX. My observation, anyway.

New MKE airport director, Ismael “Izzy” Bonilla, was interviewed on WTMJ Radio this afternoon. Some of the following items were discussed; some were mentioned during other interviews:
*Adding nonstops to destinations such as MIA, Northern FL, RDU, as well as additional service to NYC
*Additional international service
*Converting Concourse E to international departures/arrivals
*Changing security from locating at each concourse to a centralized location
*Meeting with business leaders regarding the future of MKE
He sounds like a go-getter. Let's hope that bureaucracy and politics do not hinder his efforts.

Per a poster over at airliners.net Volaris has applied to fly Guadalajara Mexico from MKE. I had heard rumors of them starting up a few months ago, I guess there was some truth to them.

I guess so. Great to see the expansion. I wonder if more international flights might speed up making E an international arrivals area?

Mitchell Airport passenger numbers increase nearly 10% in February
Instead of lurking, I thought it's time to contribute again
It looks like MKE is bouncing back better than some other mid sized airports.

Meant to post this earlier -- Saturdays in March are indeed the busiest period.
The 24 nonstops to Florida appears to be an all-time record, and when you throw in 11 to PHX/LAS and 8 international beach flights it's a remarkable amount of capacity. Think back to the 99-seat YX 717 days, it's about the same capacity as a 717 departure every 15 minutes from 5:00am to 9:30pm. And yesterday they were packed.
