Why do I feel we're all biting on a "Let's See How Many People Respond to This Made-up Post" contest? Or is the OP the same guy who wanted to know who to call at American to to get comped to first, served birthday cake, and have the FA's ask the passengers to sing to him on his big day?

In the event you are for real, are you really telling us that after staying for weeks at a hotel and claiming this great rapport with the front desk, you hid out in the weeds when the plat perks were overlooked, instead of just asking for the stinking amenity card? Of course somebody gets in trouble. That's the first mistake and just mean.

Talking "I agree with bigguyinpasadena"

Don't believe I've ever seen those words on FT before.

Big Guy and Sophie are correct. The employees are being nice to you because that's their job. Asking them out is inappropriate, puts them in a tough spot, and causes problems for everybody.

Sounds like you have a legitimate complaint about how the manager handled it. However, there is a difference between flirting and repeatedly asking staff out for any reason. As others have suggested, if you are still worked up about it I would call corporate and calmly (and professionally) explain how the manager dressed you down in public.

As far as your PM - If you worked for me and presented things the way you did in your initial post, my initial reaction would be to reconsider including you on future projects requiring travel. I would also feel obligated to run the incident up the chain in the event that future behavior of this type might put my company in some at risk of some type of liability.

If I were the hotel manager, I wouldn't want you as a customer in the future as I have an obligation to protect my employees from being harassed by clients.

Sounds like a hoax - no response from the OP despite his initial long sob letter and the Oh My God Valley Girl/Boy writing style. And:

Guys have been known to do some pretty stupid things in pursuit of the opposite sex. But to pursue repeatedly, finally get a "yes" then come back down to the same girl in order to assert the $100 guarantee? (Oh by the way, please ignore my lack of class and cheapness on our "date" later). Nobody is that stupid!

Shades of Ann Landers and the "Yallies" in the 1970's.

BTW with respects to the other heated thread going about the missing PLT gift, the fact that you weren't given the card in the first place hardly justifies payment IMO. Oversights happen and can be quickly fixed. But to be promised specific items / delivery and it never happens, that's a different story.

The OP needed the $100 to take the girl on a date!

If he was a legit post, (and I tend to think that might be the case from a reference in another post to receiving a PM)...I hope the responses make him stop and think.

Actions taken because you are "easily amused" can have some ugly repercussions in today's world. Regardless of what the "rest of the story" truly is, the more mature among us know what could have been.

OP - if you are still reading this - you learned a valuable lesson at no cost other than a little embarassment. Not everyone is so lucky.

as far as a I can see there is still no sexual harrassment here; just some questionable judgement

Can't say that the manager has significant grounds to toss him without any type of request to stop his actions. to the best of my knowledge the only request to stop was the incident with the manager on his OP

yes, i think its quite possible this is a hoax though; the lack of any further response sure isn't helping his cause

I don't know if any of you guys on here who are not from the UK have heard of a TV show called 'Little Britain' but there is a character on there called Vicky Pollard and she speaks exactly like the OP has posted. I can't read it without hearing her voice.

Click the link below for a sound clip - may not be suitable if you're at work.
