so so so so so so true.

I travel with my family to a FS property 2-3 times per year. When we are there, I am like a DRILL sgt with my kids. Do NOT get up, do not speak up, please, thank you, behave, OR ELSE.

Last week, the Portsouth REN, was REALLY bad. It looked like an urban hip hop show. 3-4 families OPENLY saying they were glad they booked this level room. They walked out with CASES of soda, they put the BET channel on TV4 kids less than 6 running around not to mention the jeans hanging off their ....

I am sorry, time to go back to gold/platinum and VIP only.

The "Club Lounge" on the second floor is open on weekend mornings (until noon?) for breakfast. Access is with your room key (Platinum only?).

Marriott Copenhagen

Does anyone know if the CL at the Marriott in Copenhagen is open on a weekend?
Thanks

Does anyone know there is a push for US Renaissances to keep the CL lounge open on the weekends? Perhaps as a brand differentiator? Lately, my personal experience has been that every US Renaissance that I have stayed at now keeps their CL lounge open on the weekend. Conversely, with the FS Marriott brand its seems to be hit and miss.

I figure a hotel breakfast averages $20 a day per person. That's not a bad weekend perk.

Renaissance Paris Vendome

Last year as a Gold member I received breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday at the restaurant. No coupons were given because none were needed. My room number was noted by the front desk and no charge appeared on my bill for the breakfast for the two of us. ^

Moreover, the above was a reward stay!

The Schaumburg, IL Renaissance club is closed on weekends.

I will be staying Saturday night at the Renaissance in Montgomery, AL on my way to FL. I haven't been able to find any information about this hotel beyond their website. The hotel only opened in 2008 so that explains much of it.

According to their site all it says is it has a concierge level. I assume that means a lounge is available, but it doesn't say. It also doesn't say if it is opened on weekends.

Also in general, how many certificates are usually provided (if they are offered) since it would be me, my wife, and daughter?

Can't answer for San Diego as a whole; but the FS Marina did not provide certs when I was there last month. (I am Plat)

Got certs w/o asking at the Ren PHL A/P-for continental, with a $3 upcharge for full buffet. The hotel had numerous issues-the worst of which is A/C that is HOT-so i got the full thing for free.

It was excellent food...and would have been worth the 3 bucks anyway! Super staff too....

Same experience as sophiegirl lounge closed on weekends. I am in San Diego in October I am going to try the Marriott Gaslamp, the lounge appears to be open weekends - unless someone knows different?

Solona Beach Courtyard provided breakfast coupons, I was a gold at the time.

Also, want to report that the Detroit Airport Marriott provides breakfast buffet coupons and a free appetizer coupon for their restaurant.

Yes, the lounge is open on weekends - has been every time I've stayed there. They generally have hot items - bacon, eggs, etc. Great views of the baseball stadium. I love this property.

The Renaissance in Montgomery, AL lounge is closed on weekends, but I was given a breakfast buffet comp for two adults and a child. However, we showed up at about 10am (had to pack up first) and the buffet was shut down for brunch so we didn't get to use the comp.

I was there for a points stay night (20k points) and was upgraded to a Junior Suite since I'm Gold. They also offered me a bonus of 500 points, a free movie, or 10% off at their spa.

This place opened in February of 2008 and was very nice. They have "high tech" rooms with ports where you can plug in your laptop via a DVI/VGA port on the desk and display it on the LCD TV. The internet wasn't free :td: The TV did actually have HD content ^, but the remote didn't seem to work properly even though I tried replacing the batteries myself (the power on/off and volume up/down wouldn't work). I'd stay there again, but check the TV remote first thing and get it sorted out and also show up in time for breakfast...
