Eden Roc Renaissance in Miami Beach has no lounge, but they gave me breakfast coupons for two last weekend. The hotel is closing soon for a huge renovation.

Crystal Gateway, Arlington, VA - closed - full buffet to gold/plats.

Writing this from the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA.

As already noted the CL is closed on the weekend. But they will give Gold/Plats (and their guests) free full buffet breakfasts. In fact, I have will be picking up a second room today for some arriving friends and the front desk said that they can also get the free breakfast tomorrow.

BTW, I was fairly impressed with their Breakfast Buffet. It was pretty good.

Chicago downtown Marriott closed weekends, but full breakfast available to plats (+ one guest).

I personally find it a little difficult to understand why this CL closes on weekends. IME, the hotel is typically full on weekends...and usually with guests paying top $$$. This weekend between the Hardware Show and Big 10 Basketball Tournement, the place was packed...with $279 the best rate I could find.

On top of that there was aggrivation with slow/broken elevators, non-working ice and soda machines, slow bar/restaurant service, sky high parking fees for slow and rude service (outside vendor is always the standard excuse for this), and the usual phone call the front desk because they didn't correctly apply my EEO certificate.

The free breakfast for plats, of course is nice, and I don't mean to sound unappreciative. But IMHO, the CL at a major urban property such as this should be open 7 days.

anyone know if the Bridgewater NJ marriott has a lounge? more specifically is it open on the weekend?

Lounge at Seattle Renaissance on Madison is closed on weekends, but does give out coupons.^

Denver Airport Marriott/Gateway Park started opening it's lounge on the weekend as of last weekend (3/17&18).

When we were looking for rooms online the system said it would be open. When I booked on the phone I was told it was closed on weekends. I called the hotel directly about a week before arrival to see who was right. The hotel insisted they were always closed on weekends. We arrived and were told the lounge was now OPEN on the weekends. Reason: Breakfast certificates and water bottles (?) were costing them a fortune and it made more sense to just open the lounge.

Bridgewater NJ and Somerset NJ both closed on weekends

The Marriott Boston Newton in Newton, MA - Lounge is closed on weekends but will provide coupons if asked nicely (they wrote on the back of a business card to provide to the restaurant) Didn't get the appetizer coupons that gardener posted in post on the previous page (the chowder sounds good though, I never make it back in time to partake in any of the soups in the lounge on weekdays)

Dayton Marriott in Dayton, OH - lounge is closed on weekends, healthy start breakfast coupons will be provided upon request

Marriott Minneapolis Airport - Minneapolis, MN - lounge is closed on weekends, healthy start breakfast coupons provided

Marriott Suites Downers Grove, IL - no lounge, provide room number to restaurant and will be taken off bill

Dallas Renaissance - no lounge, provide room number to restaurant and breakfast will be taken off bill (at least for plats...don't know about gold)

The Wuhan Renaissance in China just opened on March 9th I do believe. It has a CL which is open all day, 7 days a week. The breakfast this morning was probably a bit above what most US based CLs provide. There were a number of hot item selections as well as the normal cereals, pastries, fruit and yogerts.

I'll check it out this evening to see what the offerings are then.

Closes after breakfast Friday. Despite wording to the contrary on its webpage, it does re-open Sunday evening for appetizers and desert (always cookies).

I agree. I have always received the breakfast coupons from the Crystal Gateway Marriott when inquiring about them. I received them upfront without even asking for them.


However, I'm currently at the Charlotte Marriott City Center in Charlotte, NC. When I was here 3 weekends ago, I inquired about the breakfast coupons. I was told that they don't issue them on weekends. According to the Guest Services Directory, the Concierge here closes on Saturday but is open on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
