Seattle Marriott Waterfront?

OK, went through all 16 pages trying to find out about the lounge situation for this hotel. I'll be there for four nights in a couple of weeks and would like to know if it's open on weekends and if the lounge is any good. I made Plat for the first time, and this will be my first stay as such. Thanks.

The Crystal Gateway Marriott (in Arlington, VA) Concierge Lounge is closed until January 8, 2007. If anyone is planning to come here during this time, you will be out of luck. However, the front desk employee may give you breakfast coupons to use in the restaurant for breakfast and snacks (as this was given to me on Thursday upon check-in for the next 2 days).

Hanover NJ Marriott

During check-in at the Hanover, NJ, Marriott on Saturday night (Dec 30) I was advised that since the lounge was closed, my wife and I could go to the restaurant for breakfast. I just needed to advise them of my room number without any coupons. I was on a $79 room Never-Ending Getaway rate that gave me a $50 bonus buck (but did not include breakfast in the rate). Not sure if that is standard procedure, but it was nice to get breakfast with the room. I am a Platinum Member.

As a Platinum, I stayed here Jan 5 thru Jan 8 and received breakfast coupons for Saturday and Sunday. I also received two coupons for a free appetizer. The chicken quesadilla appetizer ($10 but free with coupon) plus a $5 bowl of the terrific clam "chowda" was a meal.

All in all, a very well run location with terrific staff.

Sunday evening the C lounge opened with the aforementioned chowda and wings. My home team Philly Eagles won on a FG with 3 seconds on the clock. Since the Patriots won as well, all were happy in the C lounge. Dessert was a very good raspberry almond cake.

The Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles has no concierge lounge, but breakfast is free everyday for platinum and gold members. In addition, platinum members get free wired for business each day. I am not sure if gold members get that as well.

No so.

We were there Fri-Sat right after Thanksgiving and, though the lounge was closed, they gave us coupons for a very nice breakfast both days. It was probably much better than the lounge would have been. :)

I assume you are referring to Marriott Griffin Gate. A little much to say no(t) so. You can say your experience was different. In fact, in late December we stayed there on a Friday night, with the lounge closed (which we were told it always is on weekends). I politely asked the clerk about breakfast coupons. Was told no. I called over the front desk supervisor and pleasantly asked her. She said they don't provide coupons on weekends when the lounge is closed, and then proceeded to give me a lecture to the effect that Marriott hotels don't give breakfast coupons to plats/golds on weekends when the lounge is closed. I told her that while fs hotels are not required to provide the coupons, many do. Discussion ended with no coupons. Based on your experience and mine, it appears that whether you receive coupons or not depends on who checks you in. (sort of like the Renaissance Toronto Skydome).

Warner Center Marriott Woodland Hills

Booked two rooms, both UG's to concierge floor. Lounge reopens Sun 1730. No coupons given for the restaurant on Sun, but we gave our room numbers at the register, and all breakfasts were comp'ed.^

As a plat, I was given two breakfast coupons at Hollywood Ren for a Sunday morning earlier this month. I didn't ask for them (and for that matter, I didn't use them!)

Denver West (Golden, CO)

Supposed to be on the list for free breakfasts, except they forgot to tell the restaurant. Then the voucher was for the cold buffet only, except they forgot to tell me that. I was single, so they let me slide with a free hot breakfast.

What level member do you have to be to gain access to the concierge lounge?? I am a silver member and will be trying for gold this year.

Gold, although, obviously, you could pay the higher rate for the concierge floor, which includes access to the lounge.

I had this same very polite conversation, same lecture, same response (to the lecture) and same result with a front desk supervisor last year at the St. Louis Airport Marriott. When I got back to my room, I picked up the phone and had another conversation....with the Hotel General Manager. Ten minutes after that one , the coupons (of course they had them) were delivered to my room.
