Anyone else having this issue?
Yes, and if you read more than one page in this thread you will see that when they call, email or use "contact us" to let MR know that they haven't received a promo a promo then appears.

I'm trying to get my promo to appear still... was told I was registered but they couldn't see which, which makes no sense, so trying again.

Nothing for me either. I just sent in the web form, will see what happens. Will be in London soon and would prefer Marriott, but hard to justify when Hyatt is offering promos and Marriott is not.

You may want to re-think participating with the new devaluations on tap.

I've been trying to juggle some upcoming stays between Marriott, Hyatt and Hilton, and the new cat changes have made the decision for me. After May, the Cat 4 certs are going to be useless to me as I rarely have airport or suburban stays.

Well if you earn them now, and then make the ressies if you know the date, then you can book the hotel now in the existing category, as long as you make the ressie before the cat changes, then you are fine.

Update: Mr. Nacho had 2x Cat 5 cert promo, and since he is running Plat Challenge he will have a pile of stays, so we asked to swap his promo to 3x Cat 4 and it was granted.

Could you clarify what are "the devaluations on tap" you are referencing? Thank you.

So I'm confused by this definition of stay. I'm going out to Denver suburbs for a client and there are several Marriott properties I can choose from that are close.

And I'll be out there for 7 nights.

If I do...
Hotel A night 1, then Hotel B night 2 does that = 1 bonus night, and back to Hotel A and so on?

So for my 7 nights I could qualify for my 3 free nights in 6 hotel swaps? Or is it simply number of days? And I could stay at hotel all 7 nights and get the 3 bonus nights?

asked and answered numerous times............next time try using the search function to find out the answer to your question..........yes, bouncing from A to B to A, etc over 6 nights will count as 6-stays........

Disagree about it not affecting airports or suburbs. Looking at some of my fave properties going from Cat4 to Cat5:

El Segundo Residence Inn
Courtyard Maui
Salinas Residence Inn

Some of them make no sense to me like Cat5 for Residence Inn Gainesville I-75?

Well it makes no sense unless the intent is to drastically devalue MegaBonus.

I went to the trouble a few weeks ago, of calling reps until I got MegaBonus enrolled. Had I known they were eviscerating it I wouldn't have bothered.

Glad I burned off all my Cat4 certs over Christmas trip to LA area. Wish I had found the time to hit Courtyard Maui again!

Logged into my account last week and noticed I still didn't have the latest promo. emailed Marriott and asked for the stay 2 get 1 cat 5 cert. promo. (I knew I couldnt make the points stay due to budget constraints now)

I said "I checked my account and I dont have the spring promo. My friend got the cat 1-5 offer, please sign me up for that" (even though I am based in NY)

They said I was already enrolled in the points promo, but as a courtesy, they would manually track my account and give me the cat 1-5 awards afterward.

I booked 4 stays next week (enough to get me the 2 certs).

But with the whole de-valuation I think I will change to Hilton or Hyatt. (I hate certs, so this was the last "straw" to help me change)

Thanks FT!!!

I just saw this thread, otherwise, I wouldn't have known about the promo at all. Must have missed the fall one too, as it was mentioned on the call - thanks Marriott . Had to call Marriott & nice gentleman said I'm signed up now.

Like others, I am wondering if it is worth it to continue with Marriott. Two of my fav US properties are a bear to get paid rooms & my 3 fav EU properties just went out the roof for rewards. We shall see.

All hotel chains and all frequent guest and elite programs get devalued from time to time. Look at the whole picture, and not just the one part which you are unhappy with before you decide to change. If you do not look at the whole picture, some people will later feel they made the wrong decision.

As far as the promos, like Mega Bonus, just make it a practice of always checking, and if you do not get it through e-mail or when you sign on, then call MR to ask for registration.

How and which EU properties "just went out the roof for rewards?"
