I have stayed at this property twice, most recently about a month ago.

A1) The dining options at the property are limited, with the primary option being the J&W Grill. I have heard good reviews for this restaurant, but I prefer to explore the town while dining so I have never had lunch or dinner there. I did have a very nice breakfast from their menu (I was not aware of a buffet) and I believe the total for my wife and I was around $40.

A2) Yes, they still have "Escalade" service to town. It is very convenient, the response time is good, and the trip is short. But, just be aware, you might not always get an Escalade. My last trip they ended up putting me in a regular shuttle van. I didn't mind, but I just thought I would mention it in case other might.

Enjoy!

Can this hotel be redeemed for SPs? On SPG.com I am not seeing it as an option at all, even though it was a category 6 rating. When I called, operator said no. Hmmmm.

Thanks,

Katherine

It is a Category 6 property but I am not sure what you mean by SPs. Privilege? Preferred?

As long as a hotel has a standard room available for cash, it can be booked as an award stay, regardless of category but redemption levels vary by category. If the operator said no, that must mean they have no standard rooms available.

I have redeemed at St Regis Deer Crest multiple times. Sounds like the property is not available for the date you want.@:-)

Just finished two nights stay at St. Regis Deer Valley. Actually, conference was held in Canyon resort, so Hyatt escala lodge is better option, but I just decided to experience St. Regis despite the double price..

I reserved superior room with government rate, and pre-upgraded to Deluxe suite as a plat 2 days before my arrival. I was happy since I can use full kitchen and butler service.. Upon check-in, I was surprised again because they gave me a luxury suite!! wow!! the best room here.. Anyway with key, I took funicular to upper resort, and was supposed to meet a butler, but couldn't meet. Anyway, went to our room 401.. Huge antique and luxury room.. Well equipped kitchen.. perfect.. Utensil was all branded (WMF, Bosch..) I loved them.. nothing to complain about the room..

In spite of butler service offered to me, I didn't use at all except asking a blanket to bring to deer valley music festival.. After 30 min waiting, I still didn't get it, so directly asked housekeeping.. little bit disappointed..

For valet parking, as many people probably know, check-in car in lower lobby, and check-out car in upper lobby.. you don't need to go down to lower resort with taking funicular again.. However, it took time to bring car from lower resort to upper resort.. about 15 mins.. And, please remember you cannot go to upper resort directly.. there is two big gates which ask permit.. As I know, valet is $25/day, but wasn't charged to me.. (luck )

Swimming pool is quite small: two small main pool and two hot tubs.. so so.. scenery is cool ...full bar service is available.. Remede spa has in-door pool and sauna/steam, didn't try complimentary entry as a plat, but normally $40/day is charged for entrance..

Fitness is quite state-of-the-art, I liked them..

Didn't try any restaurants since full board are offered in conference..

Internet is crappy.. very very slow ..

Escalade service is cool! definitely worth to use because retrieving car takes so much time!! but, escalade is normally waiting for you..

Just checked in for two nights, booked BAR and am upgraded in an Astor Suite and the Butler escorted me to my room and is available at my beck and call, however I am super low maintenance and never need anything!! I wish some of you other folks who really needed it (like the people with the newborn) could have had the attentiveness that I received already in my first 30 minutes here.

It is off-season, so I'm sure that has some bearing on that.

The suite is beautiful and the kitchen/living area awesome. I wish I had friends with me to have a party or dinner!

I did read in this thread that Plats got access to the spa but that is not the case. Maybe they recently changed that policy. When I stayed at the St. Regis Aspen last year Plats did get access to the spa, which was wonderful.

Getaway free nights

Has anyone used their free nights here? It was available for my nights, but she said I was past the cancellation date, (I was trying to book 28 days from now)so I would have to pay 575$ if I cancelled!!! Wow, I think that is a bad policy, if correct! When I checked for a paid reservation online, I would have to pay for 1 night right now, but could cancel with no penalty up until 2-3 days before arrival, I don't remember exactly. Anyone have info? Thanks

I may be inbound very soon. Can someone please comment again on the valet parking situation? I need to be back to SLC for a flight and will not beable to contend with delays in getting a car back from the valet. Tight schedule. One hour to/from SLC? Recent treatments of Platinums? Is the town nice to walk around? Any and all comments appreciated. Thanks.

I arrived to the lower level. Signs to the entrance are very limited but logic takes over. Upon arrival to the upper level met and escorted to front desk. Told at check-in upgraded to nicer room. Suite? Offered to wait a few minutes and given lux one-bedroom king suite on high floor. Full kitchen.

This is not season so staff is very limited. That would be my only real complaint. It is a little wait for everything. Room to be checked, valet for ride to Park City and wait for ride back and no Butler being available. The later should be a red flag for off season stays as they are selling suites with the SR Butler being included in the description for tonight. Took the shuttle to Park City and walked around. Limited area like Aspen which is fine. Great attention to detail has been taken. It would be very difficult to re-brand this property. The HVAC grill has the SR logo. Cheers from Deer Creek.

That was a great stay and I remain appreciative SPG upgrades us to suites if available.

In closing. This morning I took something Hollow road which is the back was to I believe east 40. That was one of the most beautiful sunrise I've ever seen.
