No. And it's not cheap there either. But it was massive with a great presentation.

Any feedback on the Fantastic suites? I am thinking about staying here for my upcoming 4 night stay in June.

I haven't stayed at W hotels enough to understand the room nomenclature. Which rooms at this hotel are the best non-suite rooms?

Three Fantastic Stays

I have had three recent stays here, all of which were upgraded to Fantastic Suites. I am currently in Taipei and look forward to returning later today for another stay.
One stay was a FWN Award , and the other 2 paid stays.
I absolutely adore this Hotel, the atmosphere it has and how well they treat you.
It is also a quiet Hotel from the point of sleeping so no street noise issues that you may have in place like NYC or Taipei. I find the location a bonus as it is quick and cheap to get to places like the Temple St markets, Nathan Rd or HK Island. I have stayed at the Sheraton but this Hotel works best for me.

Do not miss Salsa Night on Sundays!

Hi JetAway
Looking at the W website, it appears the Wonderful, Spectacular and Fabulous rooms are all the same size, just different views. Cool Corner rooms are larger.

Last stay we were upgraded to a Fabulous room. I've uploaded some photos
http://www.flickr.com/photos/3063128...7624926160749/
We found this room very comfortable for a 3 night stay, plenty of room for 2 of us. If staying for more than one night, I like a room with some space and this is one of the reasons I prefer the W to the Sheraton, I find the rooms there too squishy. The W HK is one hotel where I don't have panic attacks waiting for upgrade news, I don't think I'd be overly disappointed by any room type.

Probably not too much help but best I can offer.

FYI - The pool is closed till 29th Jan.

It was annoying as the confirmation email didn't advise of the fact, and one has to look for the information at the website - especially when you know after the fact. The receptionist didn't offer alternatives. She just said, sorry. And that was it. Poor show, I must say.

It was indicated on the property's website though.

Are they cheaper by the dozen? :D

Vulcan Jan 27, 2011 10:01 pm

I stayed at the W twice in the last 3 weeks. Each time I was on C & P. The cash part of it was $90/nt. In both cases I was upgraded to a Fantastic Suite and loved it and wished I was able to spend more time in the rooms.

I leave again Monday for HKG and will be at the Sheraton Towers for 4 nights on this trip.
