That's what I use. Though last time I was at the Bayshore, I just forked over the $36/night option. It's so much easier to go in and out whenever you want and close to your hotel.

Good luck!

Dear SPG Lurkers, a colleague just told me that this property is designated as a Conference Center...?

I am not able to find any info the website. Could you be so kind and update the thread with some more info?

Thanks a lot in advance!

It is a Conference Center property according to SPG's criteria.

In response to whether the club lounge serves alcohol - on the website below it states that there is complementary alcohol at this club location. I was researching to determine if I should go with Sheraton or the more expensive (for my dates) Westin Grand.. Anyways, I am going w/ Sheraton, will post the definitive verdict once I get back. http://www.starwoodhotels.com/promot...SI_PROMO2#club

I can tell you they do serve alcohol in the lounge. Not free and you have to order from the attendant. The Westin doesn't have a lounge and breakfast would be in the resto.

One more correction I need to make here. I checked the property master and this property is designated as a conference center property, so it does meet SPG's criteria for being able to offer 4 PM late check-outs subject to availability.

FYI: These folks do not have their act together for the Spa Package still waiting on the certificates and it's been 3 hours. By the time we get them, we may not even have time to use them!

Sounds about right. I was early checking in one time (around 2 pm) and the FD agent refused to even call housekeeping and ask if they could try to do my room next. Said something like "They'll get to it when they get to it."

At least pretend to make the call!

yeah, so i have 3 rooms w/ the spa package under my name. they finally sent one certificate, except it's incorrect (choice of massage/facial/etc instead of $100 certificate - those were two different rates :/). decided to just go with that, and called for the other 2 certificates and after a few hours, they sent .. ONE more. called again, so maybe i'll get the next one in a few hours from now...

Be sure to check for AAA rates . . . they're usually not more expensive than the flexible (and sometimes match the prepaid) -- and they include parking.

The Club Lounge does serve breakfast--and the AAA rate with parking is great but you have to park it in the very limited spaces available ( Cannot be upgraded to valet parking)

I think never? The South Tower is the older of the 2 and it shows. The North Tower is a little more modern but having colleagues stay at this hotel, I've never heard them say it was renovated.
