I got 12 points.
This seems odd to me as it is the equivalent of spending $12 on my SPG AMex card. Disappointed, and puzzled with this credit.
It was a nice hotel though.

I had a similar occurrence for a stay in Japan (I got 3 points). One email via https://www.starwoodhotels.com/prefe...pport/contact/ was sufficient to get it corrected. I didn't need to send any additional information.

That happened to me at the Westin Grand. Chances are they didn't count your stay for some reason. I fixed mine with the chat feature on spg.com. A great tool.

As for which property is better - Westin or Sheraton Wall Centre, I prefer the Sheraton Wall Centre. The views in the Westin, depending on your room, are awesome but that is the only thing I find I like more than the Sheraton.

Club lounge

Does the club lounge have complimentary cocktails/wine/beer in the evening ?
Is there a mid-day snack (afternoon tea) ?

In August, it wasn't out, but I thought it was available on request.

For years it's been available, right there in the lounge, billable to the room. On a sort of honor system, where you fill out a card as you consume.

Just had a nice 2 night stay in the North Tower, 27th floor. Nice views. Nice bonus participating in the "Go Green" option of 500 Starpoints. And that coffee shop in the Lower Level makes a very good latte.

Just wondering if anyone's stayed here recently as a Plat. I'm specifically wondering about how they handle the new continental breakfast policy. I'm assuming it's biz as usual. That is, breakfast in the lounge and you still get the 500 points Plat amenity?

The Westin Bayshore has two pools, a reasonable indoor one, and a very large outdoor one. I loved swimming in the outdoor one in November a few years ago -- snow falling on my back, but my front was warm. The cold air kept me from stopping, so I got a good workout.

Can anyone recommend a parking garage within a two-block radius with reasonable rates? Thank you in advance!

Yes. Exactly.

Oh, and is it just me or do the elevators in both towers seem to have a mind of their own?

Was here this week. Got a junior suite, though what a strange room. The entrance from the door was a hall 24 feet long with a two room two bed suite. Nice room and staff. Great location for traveling the city, but parking fees are a rip off.

Me too! I would like to know. I read somewhere you can park on the street after 8pm and before 9am for free but I don't know if it's still true now.
