The new version of the program is called Club Marriott. We received the information on what will be included in the package and it looks very similar to the old program, including 2,999 baht coupons for 3 nights at various hotels. One minor detail we don't know yet is the price. Will post when we find out.

We stay here 6-8 weeks a year in Marriott Vacation Club (as owners) and hotels (mostly using Marrriott Rewards travel packages) and it looks like it should be a benefit for us to sign up , although I am still trying to determine the cost/benefit case.

Form requests Thai mailing address. They do not have the cards or coupons yet but expect to be sending them out to purchasers in about two weeks. The new cards will likely include the members name but they will still be freely transferable. Interestingly, the charge is processed as being JW Marriott.

I'd being interested in halving the cost of the premium membership with someone. I'm mainly after the perks available at the Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa (including the 50% off spa treatment voucher). Would be happy to split up the other certificates as needed.

I'm hoping the 50% off spa treatments for two voucher would include choosing packages not just singular treatments. Anyone had experience with this in the past.

I will be in Thailand at the end of March. I have friends there so if we need a Thai address to send to then I can organise that.

They sent me an email promising 'exciting new changes' - not sure what those are yet.

The only change I see is a mildly negative one: the loss of Marriott Bangkok Resort and Spa (left the program). It's still a very valuable program, though.

-supposedly the actual card will have the buyers name on it making it less transferrable
-yes, the BKK Marriott went over to the owners franchise this past October, but hopefully in April (or perhaps June+ as opening continues to be delayed) Rayong will open and be added to the Thai pkg as I expect both the Pattaya and Hua Hin Marriotts to likewise go over to the owners franchise

yes, the voucher for 4 means 4
if you only have 2, then just use the card as this provides the -50% desired

absolutely, as Samui is an island located off the east coast (and you'd first need to get off the island to the Surat Thani mainland before you can start your travel to JWKL) while Khao Lak is located in a beach area along the west coast (accessable from either Phuket or Krabi airports).......... headed there next month........
