Really? That's some statement. Do you know the criteria used to de-flag a property? Care to share the checklist?

Does anyone have experience using Suite Night Awards at this property? If so, what category suite were you assigned? Thanks in advance.

No lounge. Breakfast was a coupon for 2-3 items (pastry, yogurt, coffee IIRC) from the coffee kiosk in the lobby.

Did get a suite upgrade though. And I loved the tiny fruity chocolates they placed at turn down. Just delicious!

Hmm, perhaps I'll follow the advice of my FTers and stay elsewhere. Good to know they actually give out suite upgrades though!

Try the Westin Chicago River North. Really elegant Westin, with a nice lounge.
Including (paid) cocktails menu in the evenings.

Excellent rooms too, especially the high floor ones with in room ipads etc.

I love the location. I have always received a suite upgrade at this property. Always.

I never do breakfast at hotels as I prefer to eat elsewhere. And there are great places to have a meal within blocks of this property.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check them out as I've read good things about this property.

True, any places you recommend? I've heard good things about Yolk, which isn't too far away.

  • The original house of pancakes
  • L'Appeitto is across the street in the Hancock
  • There is a smooth place in the Shop of 900 North Michigan
  • Brunch
  • Eggsperience
  • Drake Bros
  • Panera
Google the area, there are quite a few places on Rush and Wabash.

I failed to follow-up on my experiences last Jan. I received the Ron Santo suite using my SNA in Jan '13. Huge suite at a great rate. Dog the lack of a lounge all you want but getting a 1000+sq ft suite at $100/nt was a helluva deal.

I have a stay this coming weekend for $83/nt + tax and have applied SNA's again. I'll update my results.

Ugh. Bedbugs

Almost positive I got bedbugs here from a two night stay in July. They showed up after my trip here and my other business trips are spaced out enough where the timing doesn't work. Really frustrating.

Yikes as this is my "go to" property in Chicago.
