Somehow this poor baby cat was stuck on the resort island (probably stowaway on the vessel during construction) and it looks like the only cat on the resort.

Unfortunately, there has been a lot of rain and wind for the last few days. If you are looking to join the Dolphin cruise, you may need to keep your eyes open.
yes, pineapple is very lovely and sociable. The name pineapple was given by guest as that’s what it responded to. There were 2 of them. They were intentionally brought to the island to take care of pests. One did not make it months ago unfortunately. We loved petting pineapple everyday

Arrived today and when I was being shown around the island they mentioned that the past few days have been good but today is particularly good. Water is definitely quite calm.

Feels like it would be pretty cool to watch a storm while relaxing in the bathtub in the OWV here so I wouldn’t mind if the weather turns rainy at some point. This is what living in California does to your brain when you grew up somewhere that gets rain.

Ended up doing FB+ and from just having lunch today it already seems like a must. They ended up bringing some garlic bread and a salad in addition to what I ordered and it was honestly too much food.

2 adults and 1 child in the OW?

I've booked 5 nights in the sunrise ow king villa. We are 2 adults and our 13 yr old. When I booked a few months back it showed maximum three people occupancy with the ability to add a rollaway bed. Recently reviewing the booking their site says maximum occupancy is only 2 but it still says you can request a rollaway bed? Can anyone confirm what the latest status is - can three peope stay in this room and what the additional fees are. Do I need to send them an email now to confirm this or can do at check in.

If your child isn't already on your reservation, youre going to want to contact them. They're going to need to know who's coming so they can arrange your sea plane.

When I booked, I could only reserve for 2 adults. I emailed to add our 10 year old and was told it's an additional $150 per night, but they would only charge us $75. We didn't want a rollaway so I'm not sure if that's why or if everyone gets that break.

Have people had success in using gift cards to pay for the sea plane charges? My partner got the 20% off Marriott gift cards, so we're definitely going to take advantage of that! '
I know they said things are charged differently but does that mean two bills? If it's a likely but not guaranteed chance, I might as well put more on the gift card.

There is one bill with all the charges: sea plane, anything accommodation related, spa, sports, f&b, etc. I paid my invoice without issues with gift cards.

We recently completed second stay here, both were 11 nights long. I don't want to repeat what others have already wrote. But in short we are very happy with our experience here and are already booked for next February.

Some things that I have not seen mentioned in this thread:
- They will be opening second part with OWVs in Q3, but not in July. They are not in rush due to lower season, plus they use this time to add more pools to OWV. If I heard correctly there would be additional 7 OWV with pools
- They plan to expand Riviera, to have dining option there (Spanish cuisine / Tapas). During the day it will continue to be adults only place and for dinners families will be allowed (that how I understood it).

Something that others mentioned, but I want as well - staff is simply amazing. I think we have not met a single employee that wouldn't be friendly and helpful. Hard to mention everybody, but we got great help from Ein and Ammu from front desk, my wife loved private yoga classes with Tia and our kids got great care at kids club from Angelika and Sandy. Before arrival I was in contact with Apple who answered my numerous questions around F&B and helped to plan our food activities on the island.

We were told (by our buggy driver) they are now looking at September for second platform of room to be open. As this poster said, they are trying to add more pools to the rooms.

For those staying in an overwater villa - was it that far to get to the house reef? And do you have to pay if you want to use the shuttle?
I am trying to plan for what activities we might want to do in a couple of weeks.

Also has anyone done the "Local Island Tour" It's two hours and $80. but I can't find much info about it.

For those who are curious, this is the June "experiences" chart that was shared with me:

About 5 minutes, depending on where your villa is. If you go during low tide, you can pretty much walk there.
