I have never had any issue getting a posted stay rectified right after it posting incorrectly one or two days after checking out, and I have done this quite frequently. Initially, I would have my ambassador do it, but since I returned to lowly titanium status I now do it through the general customer care email address. It has always been processed smoothly with the one exception where I was missing 150k+ points and some sort of higher-up approval was required. Still, I was informed of this lengthy procedure within a few hours from sending my email, and points posted correctly two or three days afterwards.
Ambassador agents, obviously, will be more well versed in procedure. The same is true for agents that process emails. The same is true for the Lurkers here. None of these are entry-level positions.
I specifically was referring to anyone who CALLS in and is not an Ambassador, which encompasses the vast majority of members.
It is not impossible you will speak to a phone agent that knows what's what, it's just rare.

Typically mine do 2-3 days after checkout. I’ve had stays take the whole 10 days to post while I’ve had stays where I had to contact Marriott because they didn’t post within the 10 day window.

After 3 business days if it doesn't post, It's always meant I need to reach out to the Ambassador desk. The only exception is my Cosmo stay I didn't reach out as I thought It didn't qualify and turns out it posted itself 2 months after my stay lol.

Usually 2 to 3 days. Sometimes it takes upto the full 10 days. For rooms that were booked at a conference rate, it can be much longer. Those stays don't post until the master bill for the conference is settled even though I am directly paying for my own room.

My nights/points post around 2pm local time, the day after the check out date of the reservation. In some rare instances, it posts +1 day later. Anytime it hasn't posted within 44 hours of leaving the property, then it won't post at all and I know I'll need to contact CS after the wait period is over.

This seems to be the common posting period for stays in SE Asia. Mine also post around 2pm local time (Bangkok currently) the day after I check out. It's very reliable whether I stay in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, or elsewhere in my stomping ground. I always assumed that the mid-afternoon posting time in Asia coincided roughly with the end of the check-out day in the US
