My general rule of thumb is to take total spend and knock 20% off. That covers taxes, fees and misc F&B for the most part (assuming you dont run up crazy food, drink or spa type expenses)

that's a 44% tax rate though. Theres no way I can imagine someone having only 4500 spend on 8k worth of total spend.

At certain properties I spend quite a bit on restaurant, spa, and car service. When you add that to taxes and fees (which are in the 15-20% range in many of places), the gap can easily be in the 30-50% range.

I think we may be calculating differently. I'm referring to 40% of the base rate, not 40% of the final price.

I have others but shorter stay and less in house charges makes it hard to track.
It is what it is, probably not going to hit $20k anyways even though I’ll hit 100 nights.

I am Titanium with 34 nights so far this year. I don't see my spend towards Ambassador Elite in the Android APP either. Ironically though, the information is there, just not displayed. If you use AwardWallet, the $ & Nights towards Ambassador Elite Status is extracted from Bonvoy when it does it's updates.

Award Wallet is matching exactly what is showing in Bonvoy so it is correctly extracting the information.

I just recently noticed the nights and spend towards Ambassador are available in the APP. Click on "Nights this Year" below the progress bar and it will pop up with the details.
