Hi Folks,
I just spent US$1,000 on F&B at Westin (before taxes) does this mean i will get 10,000 points or 17,500points as a PPE ?
Thanks.

Thank you for reminding me to get on Mariwood Starriott Bonvoy about this, as if my experience is now the new normal, the answer is likely "nothing, unless you go chase your missing points". I have to go scan that receipt ....

Did you provide your membership number?

Was the $1,000 not part of a meeting or banquet that is specifically excluded?

Depending on your answers then you will earn points on the amount excluding taxes, service charges and gratuities. You should have been given a points receipt if it was handled properly at the property. If not, then hold on to your food receipt as you will in all likelihood need to scan it and send it in to prove you are owed the points.

"... as well as at the following Participating Properties and Brands in United States, Canada, Europe, Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, South America, Middle East, and Africa: St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W, Sheraton, Le Méridien, Westin, Tribute Portfolio, Four Points, Aloft Hotels, and Element"

I had thought that the old Starwood dining scheme was completely discontinued back in August!

Is there still a form to be completed where we enter our new Bonvoy number just as the old one had a field for SPG information?

There is indeed still a manual form that the restaurant has to complete with your membership number and the amount. Keep this with your regular receipt and the business card of the restaurant manager with their email address. Just in case.

In my experience at both legacy SPG and Marriott brands in Asia since August, the hotels know about the dining programme and execute it correctly. Late August I had Sunday Brunch at the RC Macau and was astonished that before bringing the bill they asked if I was a MR member, applied the discount and brought the points form with my receipt. This was a legacy Marriott brand that previously didn't do this. Had success at St Regis, Courtyards and Ws since then.

Yes they filled up a form with my rewards number, amount spent (before taxes). I kept the blue copy as evidence in case things go "missing"
I think i should get the points (10,000) but i am curious if PPE gets a +75% bonus as well for F&B spending?

Thanks.

My general experience is the waitstaff has no idea of this perk, and neither does the managers. Let alone do they know how to turn it in such that I can get credit for the meal.

Yes, I am sure I could contact MR and do a ton of back end worth to eventually get the points, but if it is just to get some points on a single meal I paid for, the reward is hardly worth the effort it takes to get it,

Last restaurant we ate at without a stay was a Westin in Canada back in late Sep or early Oct. Gave them my Marriott card, they filled out the little SPG form, and 17.5x points eventually posted on the amount before tax/tip converted to USD.

Wait- how is this going to work, @Starwood Lurker IV? I have a scanned copy (thankfully!) of the "SPG Food and Beverage Credit Voucher", yet I didn't stay at the hotel, I only ate there. The Missing Stay form (and your link doesn't work) expects a checkout date and a folio.

I put the day of the dining into the "Checkout Date" and attached the scanned copy, and I'm not expecting a lot of success here (which will make attempt #2 on this).

... yeah, as expected, post-Merger MR Bonvoy fails again:
We are unable to process your request at this time because we did not receive an itemized hotel bill in your original notification.
... so, what now?!
