As of February 2019 this hotel no longer offers club lounge access to Marriott Platinum and higher guests, even if upgraded to a room category which would otherwise offer lounge access, so lounge access mentioned in older reviews would no longer apply.
The hotel also no longer participates in Suite Night Awards.
Breakfast offering for Platinum and higher is in restaurant, buffet plus made to order eggs.

Any 2019 stays yet? Are they still giving lounge access to Plat and above? Are lounge/breakfast offerings the same, or should I assume that the restaurant breakfast is no longer offered for free?

Sort of peeved I had to politely ask before getting any sort of upgrade but overall the stay has been good so far (but I only got here last night).

Currently eating breakfast at the restaurant on 36F. Both lounge and restaurant breakfast are offered for plat, as are the 1000 points or chopsticks welcome amenities.

I'm not sure I would've even asked for an upgrade if they even gave me a "token upgrade" since I was alone. But I just had to ask if they offered literally nothing when availability was there.

That's what they seem to have given me, even though availability wasn't showing. I think they must have blocked the room for me as early in the morning of my arrival, the reservation was also showing as "in progress" in my account (and unlike under SPG, I wasn't able to check the room type).
BTW, breakfast in the lounge was awesome, although I wasn't very impressed with happy hour food last night.

The happy hour offerings are nothing special, but if you like sweets, the afternoon tea desserts are pretty good! I usually go for sake after happy hour to kick start the night.

It’s also possible that the IT is glitching yet again. The hotel offers SNAs but there are very few suites overall.

Agreed, their food can be very good. I enjoyed their Japanese breakfast in Oasis Garden very much as well, although their American breakfast is mediocre.

You might have enjoyed their sake "experience" that I noticed on my room's iPad and did. It's a tasting of three kinds of (cold) sake (a sake cup of each) served with beautiful snacks consisting of spinach with crab, sashimi (presented with a bit of lavender and some other trimmings), and their green tea flavored nuts, with some education about sake at the small high bar at the entrance to their 35th floor Japanese restaurant. I booked it through the concierge and the cost was 2,500 yen.

Non-refundable rates are SNA eligible. It's just Marriott's IT that is preventing the application of SNAs for non-refundable reservations. However, there's a workaround (See the SNA thread for this).
My rate is refundable, so that should not be the issue. It seems the hotel is blocking the application of SNAs right now.
