Distance to Shuttle
I will be arriving on CX in Terminal 1 and see that one has to meet the shuttle in a parking bay in Terminal 2.
Can someone tell me the distance from the exit of customs in T1 to the shuttle? Is the walk entirely indoors? Walking good distances is a bit challenging for me -- esp. in HKG heat/humidity.
Finally, can one (for a price!) get a private limo for the short trip from T1 to the hotel?
Thanks

You go to the hotel desks, which are just to the right of airport express ticket machines, maybe 50 yards from customs exit. They walk you to the shuttle when it arrives. It's not far and it's virtually all indoors.

Never stayed in an airport before but i am thinking of staying one night in this hotel in my coming trip. Just one question, is the aircraft noise loud enough so it bothers you? thanks!

You can hear them. If you think that might be an issue, you might want to just stay in Hong Kong. Honestly the fact you have to take a shuttle to this hotel means you save very little time over taking Airport Express into the city. Also, the shuttle back to the airport can be very crowded in the morning. Overall I did not find much benefit at all staying here compared to Hong Kong. If I wanted to stay at the airport, I would stay at the Regal, which is connected to the terminal.

You can also take the MTR one stop in the opposite direction to AsiaWorld-Expo and then walk to the Marriott (indoors IIRC).

I will be arriving around 6am (landing at 5am) and leave around 6am next morning. Is there any chance I could check in at 6am?
I wouldn't expect 6am checkin at a regular hotel but this is an airport hotel so I guess it might be different.

In fact, if you go to the desk (B05 is the one you're looking for), you'll usually get a private car ride rather than the regular shuttle. It picks you up from the limousine area (a much shorter walk). This has always worked for me (including just this week), and in fact as a lowly Gold, there's someone waiting to meet me at the hotel entrance when the car gets there, and the check-in is done in my room. I've had in-room check-ins at Sheraton hotels in India as a platinum, and the Sky City Marriott Hong Kong as a gold. Makes you feel pretty special :-)

I got this as a Gold as well. IIRC, was met by the FDM. Most impressive part of the stay. I did have to wait about 15 minutes for the car though, which was kind of a drag as the waiting area was really crowded. All told it would have been about the same amount of time to take Airport Express into the city.
