Want to stay here in August, but July 15-September 1st is all not available with points. Can Category 2s block six weeks? Looks like they're playing games with declaring all rooms deluxe in that time period.

If you find a date where they are selling standard rooms and standard Free Night Awards are not available, feel free to send us the details.

The Classic rooms are the room types attached to the standard award rate plan at this hotel. If you find one of these for sale and no award availability, then feel free to let us know and we'll look into it.

Just finished a two night stay at the Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera and can't say enough good things about the hotel:
- excellent staff throughout
- the setting is beautiful (although there is building work going on behind the hotel)
- the quality of the fixtures in the room was excellent - far better than any other Sheraton I have stayed at
- upgraded to a Deluxe sea view from standard room with a great view and balcony to enjoy it
- able to check in early (although hotel was quite empty)
- fruit plate and welcome letter in room
- excellent full breakfast buffet (available as Platinum amenity)
- decent evening meal - probably quite expensive for the area but not bad compared to other prices in Europe (e.g. Seabass main course was Kn140)
- very good indoor pool and spa area (outdoor pool was a little bit too cold but that will no doubt heat up over the coming weeks)
I was informed that the season starts properly at the beginning of June, and they rely on conferences prior to that so out of season the hotel is quiet some days and very busy others.
Only slight downside was the internet access which was about 0.5 Mbps down.
18Kn bus to the city leaves opposite the shopping centre (5 min walk max) but it was busy. Far better is the boat that leaves just round the bay at 60Kn.
The hotel is located 7 miles from the airport; I booked a shared transfer (through Viator) for just under GBP20 return which worked very well.

Hello everyone,
We are thinking about staying here in October with our 2 year old... quick research shows that weather can be mixed at this time of year, is there much/anything to do with a little one in bad weather?
Also, can anyone give a guideline for the restaurant prices? Are there many other eateries within walking distance? - We'll either be staying for 3 or 6 nights and don't fancy having 3 meals a day in the same restaurant, but getting places quickly with a toddler isn't always easy!!
Thanks!

I believe the club sandwich at the hotel was about $12USD. There is one restaurant across the street and a few less than a 5 minute walk towards town. There are also plenty of places on the riva within a 10 minute walk.

There is a good size supermarket at the entrance of the street that leads to the hotel. You should have no problem to get stuff to make a cold breakfast.
6 days are way too long for the time of the year to stay there because you probably cannot enjoy the pool / sea much.

I was going to go in August, and over the phone I could get a weekday room for 5,000 points instead of the normal 4,000, as all they had were deluxe rooms or whatever.
My plans changed, so I looked at September dates. Some dates have rooms for the regular number of points. There was one night -- now sold out -- where they were selling rooms at a higher price than other days, but in the same room type as other days. I called, and they wouldn't give me a room for any number of points, nor would they give me a suite for 2x the regular room price. That night has since sold out, or else I would have gone up the food chain. There are definitely some games going on with this property.
