It seems that a new Sheraton is opening just south of Dubrovnik (and a few miles from the airport) in May 2015. Looks like a great addition.

The location outside the city is good news as well IMHO - similar to Le Méridien Split.

Let's just hope they're actually ready for opening before the season starts.

Good news. But be warned that you will likely need or want to have a car since it is outside of town. The super nice Hilton Dubrovnik has the best location, just outside the walls of the old city. Last summer I arrived by boat and rented a car from Hertz Dubrovnik and drove all around the area even down to Montenegro where a new Regent hotel opened up along the coast. This area is booming in the summertime so hopefully they hold to their Q2 opening date.

If I go back, I might avoid the crowded city of Dubrovnik altogether (since I've already been) and maybe explore more of the coast down south. This hotel could be perfect for that.

Anyone know when spg.com will finally include this hotel and be bookable ?

It has been a while since the press release came out but still not bookable.

Just Loved that Hiltons location. Now if this Sheraton will offer free shuttles to the old city on a reg basis, then I may give it a shot.But nothing can beat rolling out of bed and walking into the old city a few mins later, nor the view ofrom ones room of the OC

I saw it pop up on the SPG site for the first time today - no idea how long it has been there. They claim to be opening July 1st, but still aren't taking reservations. I've asked my ambassador to see if she can find out when they start taking reservations - I'd like to try it late July for a few days.

I'm planning to be in Dubrovnik mid July. This is property is still not bookable on SPG.com, wondering if SPGLurker can fill us in on the opening date.

Thank you for your interest in staying at the hotel. The information we have is that the hotel is opening in the beginning of July, however we are not sure when it will be open for individual bookings.

the web site says its open for group bookings. I need a group booking for Aug, however when i called the platinum line they said they have no idea how to book or contact the hotel,
