There is a really great Moments package for the St. Regis Punta Mita. It's a golf and wine event and my wife and I are planning on traveling that weekend already.
I would have loved to bid on it, but the auctions ends on the 20th and the event starts on the 28th. That gives you less than a week to book flights and get to Puerto Vallarta.
Isn't there some way to have these end a month in advance?

^ I agree, I also think SPG would want to encourage months in advance auctions because they could sell for much more. Look at the NHL all star game, that ended a solid month before the event and sold for over 100k on 4 packages.
I bet SPG gets a lot of last minute/extra tickets and they just throw them up on this site. I'm sure other sponsors get access to these same tickets, maybe last minute auctions are the other sponsors leftovers?

I've done a number of the Cirque du Soleil events and have always been happy. I especially enjoyed the Camp Cirque + VIP at Kurios in Montreal and the Zarkana behind the scenes in NYC. All the events have been very well done and the *wood Staff accompanying the winners at Camp Cirque were very professional and fun.
Sadly though, I've been seeing less and less Cirque opportunities even though *wood is still a Cirque sponsor. Cirque is about to open a Broadway Show in NYC, Toruk is touring the US and OVO is about to start up again in the Eastern US.

The Abu Dhabi event was a steal.
Looks like there were several new moments uploaded around Early Feb. last year. Fingers crossed.

I can't believe how high the points price for the private dinner party at Daniel in NYC with Chef Daniel Boulud. I expected it to maybe be around 70-80k points, but I didn't think it would soar over 100k points.
I think people with a lot of Starpoints must really be worried about the impending doom of the Mariott acquisition, and just trying to get rid of their points any way they can.
I bid 100,500, and once I got outbid, I just gave up, as that could be thousands of dollars worth of redemption's towards a week-long trip in London.

IMO it's pretty unreasonable to expect the Lurkers to comment on anything to do with merger point calculations prior to an official announcement. If the SPG Moments are too expensive for your tastes, then don't bid on them.

And as for people driving up Moments prices due to dumping Starpoints, that isn't true at all IMHO. First of all, realize that some people earn over a million Starpoints per year just with the SPG Amex alone. Secondly it is about a sure thing as you can get that our points would be preserved through a Marriott merger. There may very well be devaluation down the road, but that's at least a couple years out.

Speculation is rarely positive. Every listen to talk radio or sports radio?
