TCC Group, which is controlled by Thai billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, said on Monday it planned to invest more than 23 billion baht ($644 million) through 2020 to build and renovate seven hotels in Thailand under the Marriott brand.

TCC Land Asset World has signed contracts with Marriott International to manage the seven hotels in prime locations in Bangkok and city resorts in Hua Hin, Phuket and Pattaya, Wallapa said.

Marriott has 16 hotels and resorts with 3,500 rooms in Thailand and the company is aiming to add more than 3,000 rooms to reach 6,500 rooms by 2018,

New hotel projects for today include two new Autograph Collection properties in Germany:
- Roomers Baden Baden is a new built scheduled to open in July.
- Roomers Munich is a new built scheduled to open later this year in September.

There already is a Roomers Frankfurt but it seems that one won't join Autograph Collection for the time being.

Northern California:

Last year, OTO won approvals for a 185-room AC Marriott in South San Francisco on Oyster Point Boulevard, which is under construction. The developer also has a 177-room Courtyard by Marriott under construction in Redwood City, which will open late fall of this year. The developer has also proposed a 169-room Marriott in Belmont at the intersection of Shoreway Road and Cormorant Drive, which was approved. Now intending to build a Springhill Suites in San Bruno. he hotel will lie on 1.5 acres at a former U.S. Navy site called “The Crossing”, which is along El Camino Real next to highway 380 and the Shops at Tanforan.

Marriott is set to take on the new City Quays hotel project in Belfast (Northern Ireland) with its AC Hotels brand. (probably mid-late 2017).

Former Racine Marriott (which was purchased by a company & is now the Architect Hotel) is being renovated & will be re-branded a Delta hotel after it's complete (2nd-3rdQ, 2017).

Just saw a new property popping up on the website:
- The Saint Hotel Key West joins Autograph Collection in April. Never stayed here before but it looks convenient. Anyone knows the property?

The plan to convert an old University of New Orleans building on Canal Street downtown into a pair of Marriott Hotels should be underway soon; the hotel's developers have filed renovation permit applications with the city.

The two hotels—SpringHill caters to leisure and business travelers, TownePlace would be an extended stay hotel—would share amenities, including a rooftop with an "8,000-square-foot garden overlooking Canal Street with an outdoor bar, exercise room, guest laundry area and penthouse area."

The hotels are slated to be complete "sometime in mid-2017."

"5 new ground-up hotels to NYC. Marriott has given its blessing for five new hotels, two of which will be a dual-branded property on West 36th Street, the Commercial Observer reports.

The dual-branded hotel will be at 338 West 36th St, and includes a 286-room Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites at the bottom, and a 280-key Marriott SpringHill Suites on top. Other hotels planned as part of the agreement are a 350-room Marriott at the JFK International Airport, a 225-room Marriott Fairfield Inn at 538 West 58th St, and a 113-room Town Place Suites by Marriott at 322-326 West 44th St. the earliest arrival will be the Fairfield Inn at West 58th, which is scheduled to open in July.

AC Hotel Aventura, Fla .The project at 20805 Biscayne Boulevard broke ground in June 2015 and is scheduled to open in November 2016.
