Hotel Website: The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection
Official List of Cosmopolitan Bonvoy Elite Benefits: https://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/marriott-bonvoy-at-the-cosmopolitan-of-las-vegas
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the only charges that qualify for Points are as follows:
- Room rate, room service food and beverage, in-room movies, phone calls and in-room minibar purchases
- Points cannot be earned on any other purchases at hotel outlets or for hotel services
The Cosmopolitan is a "resort," so basically the only elite benny is a possible upgrade. Elites are not exempt from the resort fee
Resort fee is $39+tax effective 01/01/2019. Also as of that date, parking (self & valet) is complimentary for hotel guests.
Cosmopolitan is exempt from providing free wifi to Plats per Marriott's T&Cs, however it is included with the mandatory $39 daily resort fee so there is still no extra charge to any guest for using it.
Platinums receive:
* use of Platinum check-in area (to the left of main desks)
* Platinum arrival gift is $10FB coupon or 1,000 points
* room upgrade (space available) - better luck on mid-week stays than weekend stays. sometimes a 'sandwich' (ie, bribe) to front desk does the trick.
* free tea/coffee 6am - noon in the plat lobby check-in area
* Wicked Spoon: Marriott Rewards Platinums (and PPs) get to use preferred line and get 15% discount when staying at the property. Just show your MR Plat or PP card.
You can book through Virtuoso as well as Amex FHR for complimentary breakfast buffet at Wicked spoon.
Resort fee:
* $39 (+ tax) per day for resort fee, which includes gym access, local + long distance calls, Wifi, pool access. The resort fee is not waived.
Receiving Bonvoy Points for a Stay:
Many have reported needing to follow up to have Marriott Bonvoy points manually posted post stay (they do not typically post automatically.) A tip is to email [email protected] shortly after a stay asking them to manually forward your folio to Marriott Bonvoy for processing.
Hat tip to billycwhatup for this:
* Identity points and MR points can not be earned on the same stay
Other tips
The Terrace Suites are the most common room type and are classified as studio and one bedroom, with options for King, 2 Queens with or without a fountain view. They are essentially the same size, however (10 sq ft difference), but the layouts differ.
The King Studio Suite has a standard bathroom with shower and tub, a living room area with large sitting area and an L shaped sofa and the bed is in a separate area, though not separated.
The King One BR Suite has the same kind of living room area, with the bedroom separated by sliding doors and the bathroom is larger, with a "soaking tub".
If you get a terrace suite of any kind with 2 Queens, the living area will be smaller.
And unless your room type is described as "fountain view", you aren't guaranteed it, though Platinum status will get you upgraded on check in if they have one available.
If you book any of these room types and want to aim higher, I would try a giving the receptionist a 50$ "sandwich", and ask if any wraparounds upgrades would be available. If they say yes, there is a good chance that it will be a wraparound facing south-east or south-west, which for me would be a no go. Taste in view is personal of course, but for me the fountain-Eiffel tower view are so much nicer than the south facing views. Also when you would have the choice between a low level wraparound or high level terrace suite, I would still take the high level terrace suite, because a number of floors on the east tower are blocked by the big Bellagio sign. (see youtube vids).
If you really want a high level wraparound then you probably would have to pay, which can sometimes be not that much. If I'm not mistaken I think they offered me a wraparound at 150$ per night more, but we originally booked a 1 bedroom terrace room without view.
Last tip : If you would get the choice of wraparound I would definitely take a high floor east tower one, facing north-east. That would give you bellagio fountain + eiffel tower view, but also a good portion of the south strip.

I am a Platinum Premier and going to the Cosmo for the 1st time tonight, for 2 nights, redeeming MR points.
I am trying to register to the Cosmo Identity program but I do not receive any confirmation emails I have tried 2 days ago, and today again (with 2 different e-mail addresses) and although it indicates "That was a complete success! We appreciate your interest in our unique luxury resort", I am not receiving my Identity number
http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/stay-connected.aspx
This topics has now almost 50 pages... Except that I can check-in at the VIP line, get a cocktail there, cross my fingers for an upgrade, get 2 vouchers for a free-breakfast/brunch, can I expect anything else?
EDIT: I just called them. I have to register in-person so they can scan my ID. They should somehow indicate that on their website...

I am not sure they would do this, if that is your intent. Your status in the Identity is based on pts earned just at the Cosmo and the amount of time/money you spend gambling. I am Gold with MR and Gold with Identity as well...mainly because I have stayed 5 times at the Cosmo and gambled like 4-5 hrs a day. If I played slot machines instead of tables games, I would def be Platinum by now...they rate you better at the machines.
The Platinum members with Identity gamble a LOT. According to my casino host, they even have VIP guests with lines of credit...ie whales/big time high rollers.

Yea, the website has had issues since day 1 sadly. Are you expecting to join Identity and have them match it to your Platinum MR status?

Btw, do you need a special status to benefic from the "$100 on us" promo?

Thanks for your reply. I do not expect any match, I just read that you could accrue both MR and Identity points so I wanted to enroll that program as I will be back in September again. I am definitely not a big gambler (2hr/day max playing BJ) so I guess I can't expect much from the Identity program.

How do they 'measure' the time spent at gambling?

I think that "$100 on us" promo is for Identity members. I get emails often regarding the promos. Long story short, having the casino host makes it much easier. Although I am Gold, I was given a host anyway...long story short. I just email him the dates I want to come, I get comped rates or casino rates, he book the room and I don't even have to put down a credit card or pay first room night. I have gotten both MR and Identity pts for all 5 stays at the Cosmo. I will be staying there for labor day weekend as well. I'm not bragging, but simply giving you an incentive to hit those tables hard while you are there
They rate you based on the type of game you play (diff games get diff ratings), how long you gamble, and your average bet. Craps doesn't get rated much because the odds are high in your favor. As you gamble, every so often ask the floor mgr how much time they have you playing for and what has been your average bet. Make friends with them because they can really help you out. I personally think it's a rough estimate because its impossible for the floor mgrs to watch every player every second. There are ways to fool them though...hehehe. Cool thing about the Cosmo is that you get Identity pts for every dollar you spend at the hotel...money spent on buffets, the room itself, nightlub etc. So it really adds up.
Also make sure to show your Identity card everytime you buy something at the hotel. If you party at Marquee nightclub.dayclub though, save the receipt and take if to the Identity desk. They will credit the pts to your account, stamp the receipt, and let you keep it.
It's safe to say that I love Vegas and being able to get MR pts from work travel and then MR pts + Identiry pts when I visit Vegas, makes the Cosmo a great hotel.
I am an IHG member also, and the Palazzo/Venetian have there own players club...club grazzie. It sucks though lol. With that being said, thats why I stay at the Cosmo

They now have a courtesy suite open during the say for Identity and Marriott platinum, with coffee, juice, granola bars in the morning and then a basic bar and snacks in the afternoon, 3 until 10PM. When we went at like 5 there was no one there, so had a great time pounding crown & diets and chatting with the hostesses.
TIA

I am about to check-in there (I am Marriott Platinum / Cosmo nothing) so will let you know on Monday. But I called them today and they told me they had a lounge for Marriott Elite, so I am assuming the answer to your question is yes.

"New benefit: complimentary coffee and juice daily 6am to 9am in our Identity Suite, West Tower Suite 16xx"
I am not calling that a 'benefit'
But I am really happy with the room (upgraded to studio w/ fountain view)

I would rather spend $20 at a liquor store and drink in the comfort and privacy of my own room, rather than try to sneak in to get a few mixed drinks in mixed company.
We just got back from a 3 day stay in a wraparound suite and had a great time.
VIP check-in/out and buffet lines saved lots of time.

I am here this weekend. Everything is fine except that when I called the "Platium Elite Concierge at 86182" this afternoon for some transportation arrangement, no one answered and 3 minutes later it transferred me to a voice mail asking me to leave a message, which I didn't bother.
Well, their goal to "make sure my experience exceeds my expectations" went the oppsite way.
