Stayed here 2 days in March. This place is a paradise! I loved it! totally worth it! I would say 2 days to 3 days in this hotels is fine. I would always miss the sounds at night and at the morning of the birds and the desert, the huge bed, the filet mignon breakfast, the awesome welcome cocktail and the amazing staff!

I would definately come back for 2 days in the future!

For those who have stayed here, are the rooms non-smoking? On the website, it says smoke free hotel but when I was talking to the online chat, they were mentioning that there were only smoking bedouin suites available for the dates I wanted.

Also, if I wanted to use a mastercard 3 nights for 2, would it be all inclusive including the activities? online chat was able to confirm meals but not activities in the rate description.

I emailed the hotel but I have not heard back from them yet.

Thanks

For others reading along who like me were unfamiliar with this promo, here it is:

http://www.eame.starwoodoffers.com/eamemastercard

It requires prepaying with a Mastercard. Use code M3D to book.

illico, please report when you find an answer.

Thank you Janine, for your quick reply.

Now all I need is the clarification on whether rooms are completely non-smoking or not.

Afaik, all suites are non smoking. But smoking is allowed outside of the suite (private deck). Facilities and restaurant are obviously non smoking. For outside dining the majority of the tables is non smoking, a small zone allows smoking.

What's the current rate to redeem starpoints here? I know there were discounts in the past, but don't know if they still apply.

Best,

I am wondering the same. There have been 35% off starpoint rates the last two years or so. Is there any news on this promo being extended?

SPG's Paradise is Closer ended on March 8, 2016. I'm sure if they wish to resurrect it some day, they will not leave anyone hanging and I promise not to slip the news in my back pocket and sit on it.

Hello guys,

Do you know if is possible to do a late check out as Gold?. Besides, I know there are 2 activities per day, but the limit is per actual nights you are staying or you can do 2 after check-in, and two the next day?. I will stay only 1 night and I would like to do both activity (if the limit is 2 per night) next day, one in the morning and another one after check out.

I'm asking this because I have an Etihad flight at 2am the following date and I would like to use Etihad's chauffeur service to get out of Al Maha after the evening activity, it will give me time for the 2~3 hours drive to AUH. This will be my first time in Abu Dhabi/Dubai, but I will have a 5~6 full days in total.

Thank you in advance

Latest checkout time I have been given is 14:00. If you want to do two activities on the day of your checkout, that should be fine, but you will probably still have to leave your suite and loiter around the property until it's time for your second activity.

I was given a 4PM late check-out and left the property only at 8PM. Doing an activity after check-out isn't a problem and you can use the spa showers before you leave. Enjoy!

Thank you zzap and JohnRain for the info!!

I read on SPG website that is 2 activities per night, which is ok as long I can do it the next day, otherwise I will have to stay at this property at the beginning of my UAE trip. Is a surprise for my wife, she doesn't even know that we will fly back to US in Etihad's Firs Class (apartment)
