One day a few months ago when very bored I went through literally every single link on there to test to see if any worked. Half the links are dead. The other half require you to use an account with that bank, or that banks CC, to purchase/fund the GC or reloadable card.

I actually went through with getting an Inova bank account as well only to find out their Buxx also requires you to use an Inova account or CC to fund it.

I found one that would allow you to use other CCs for ordering but they charged a $5 load fee per $1k GC and $20 shipping and you could only purchase two per order so you were looking at $30 in fees for $2K in GCs. I didn't even make note of which it was because it's such a terrible ratio.

YMMV. It worked for one account and did not work for my second account.

For the first BB account, it locked use after 3 loads online. I had to call them up (it happened to be on a Holiday), so they asked me to fax my DL and copy of my statement, which I did. Then they allowed me to use my NW Buxx card and I have not had a problem since.

For my second account, when I called up, they did a 3 way call, talked to NW Buxx and then found out it was a prepaid card and removed it from my account. So if you are ok with faxing a copy of your DL and statement, you might be able to load online.

^ It does not count towards the $5000 cash load limit, so I can now load $6000 per month on my BB card.

I just had the same conversation with BB regarding my USB Buxx card. The agent advised me that they can't link prepaid cards, of any kind, to the account. My email also came after the 3rd online load.

Are there any details on whether or not TD CCs would earn points/cashback for loading the TD Go? I looked at the list of TD CC's, and there are some with category bonuses that might be useful for MS, at least in the short term

Anyone else's TD loads not counting as CA anymore for Citi? Has that already been talked about?

Have fun with 1%. It costs $1 to load every $500. So now your at $8 profit - money order fees. Best case scenario is $7.30 per $1K. Hit it hard.

This has been in the wiki forever.

Citi codes as purchase and earns points for TD Bank loads.

I know, that's not what I meant, sorry. The TD Buxx isn't showing as a ghost pending anymore, just posting without the duplicate authorization eating up CA.

Just showed reversed! And honestly...this is the most exciting/best news I've had all day.

Charges were refunded today -- so about 6 business days for it to post

And that is assuming it would earn points. Given USB's CCs do not earn any point loading USB's Buxx, I seriously doubt TD's would earn given the fact that they would not take this drastic change if they haven't seen the huge cost they have incurred on the CC loads.

Yeah, I'm not having that issue anymore either. The charge goes through in 1 or 2 days and no longer has a duplicate pending charge eating at the CA limit. Just another smack in the face now that the TD Buxx card is dying.

Sad to see an easy 6k/month going away. At 1k/month and $2 load fees NW just doesn't even seem worth the hassle even if it could pay citi

CrediPig Aug 8, 2014 9:39 am

30K a month for me...

Yeah, I also noticed this. Too little, too late.

Yeah, I just got the notice in the mail today about TD changes and I see the wiki has also been updated...not a happy camper :(
