I used USBuxx to buy MO at the grocery store for $1K face value and my receipt showed $1000.79. It posted as Purchase with PIN (EFD) - Name of Grocery store, City, State. It made it look like I bought groceries :)

Although it is free to w/d $600 per day via ATM, I try to vary my activities and throw in some purchases at grocery store just in case they scrutinized the account.

Nope. I loaded $1500 ($1000+$500) and then walked away...happily :-)
PS: I was responding to dboston1. I have TD Go.

I know it does not matter now, but I thought I share that if you are reluctant to use your CC to load TD because you have set its CA to zero, don't be. I successfully loaded my initial deposit and reloaded using my Citi Exec card with 0 CA. The sad part is I will only be able to use it three more times.

I think people are seeing different behaviors even on the same type of card. If you need an example, I signed my parents up for 4 Exec cards, 2 each. My dad and mom each have one where it does the CA pend crap but posts as a purchase, and 2 that don't. I have no idea what Citi has going on in their backend that could cause this. I try not to guess with banks and some of the horrifying legacy disasters they have on the backend...from personal experience at another bank, albeit one that has no retail offerings, it can be truly mind bogglingly atrocious.

I haven't loaded to my US Buxx account in over a month but I've been having issues adding any cards to my account. I keep getting "An error occurred while attempting to add your funding source. Please verify that the information you provided is correct". The address and everything else matches exactly.

Has anything changed in the last couple of months? One of the reps said that now you can only load from US Bank branded debit/credit card only since last month, so she wouldn't let me add my CCs. I called back and the next rep tried adding my CC and it didn't let her. Then she tried loading with a card already on file and it kept giving her errors as well :/

My guess is if there is a CA available, it first try to use it. That could be one of the reason several posters reported it took 2-3 weeks to get the transaction posted as purchase. In my case (with 0 CA limit), transaction gets posted in couple of days. Anyway, like I said, would not matter in few weeks.

No, that isn't true. Both of my parents cards have huge CAs on both their Exec cards. Ditto on my cards - my Hilton Reserve doesn't do the ghostly CA pend thing, but all my Execs did, even though the Reserve has plenty of CA space just like my Execs. Citi just has inconsistent behavior. So all anyone can do is try and if 0 CA fails, try the "lose your card" trick to reset it then try again.

Did you get your issue resolved after the 2nd call? I hope so or else, your 3rd and succeeding phone calls with a live agent will cost you fifty cents a call even if they cannot help you.

I see that error message when I exceed my load but in your case when you have not loaded in over a month, maybe your load date per teen was reset? Hopefully, your issue gets resolved w/o CS intervention and scrutiny because USB CS is not very helpful in my experience.

Hope they aren't go in the same route as TD go.
