Give your loading attempt a $99 swipe limit. I have done regular VGCs at the CSC and been rejected for amounts greater than that.

Your above experience seems to be echoing that reported by others in regards to rejection for amounts >$99

I had two of the same VGC.
I was able to load Discover with > $99 with one of the VGC.
So, I was thinking I could do the same for the OnePay with the other VGC.

I may give it another try on another day.

One of the WMs around me has a 1 PW/BHN VGC velocity limit (I know it's weird, but I tried my luck several times before concluding it affirmatively), so next time, try loading OnePay first, then Discover, and if the first goes through and the second fails, you know the issue is velocity.

The two that I had are Pathward/Incomm, but I will give your suggestion a try next time.

Is GoBank still an option for loading VGC at WM? At some point they discontinued the card and replaced it with a new version.

Go is no longer available. It morphed into Go2 Bank which eliminated all the MSing capabilities by way of fees. I have the grandfathered original card and it can be loaded for a fee at WM and elsewhere. I am still trying to figure out how to use the cash app to load it. CS at Greendot Bank tell me I can use the Cash App for loading but I have yet to succeed.

I keep it alive with a DD and do use it as checking account. Since Amex BB and Serve is going away, I may have to pay more attention to it in the future. ;)

When I load at the cashier, I do two seperate cards, a Serve and then a One. Again, I tend to use the SE or GE card, since they seem to work all the time. I have not encountered a velocity limit except one time at FD.

But with all the new reports about FD, I am going to have to try next week and see how my luck holds there and at WM.

Today I tried loading the OnePay at WM's CSC with $400 for the first time, and it failed with DEBIT NOT APPROVED CAT DOWN.
I did the Discover load first and had no problem with that.
Did I do something wrong? Did the employee do something wrong?

I have velocity limits in my area.
I'm only able to do 1 $498 swipe of a Path MC. If I try another Path MC back to back the card will lock up requiring replacement.
There is a cooldown period I read on here that is around 10 min between swipes, but I have't tried this myself.

Thanks.
You are inserting the OnePay card? Not using the barcode?
I asked about that and someone wrote that the barcode in the OnePay app doesn't work.

Fortunately, the 2nd PW VGC did not lock up.
I was able to use it in the store to buy two Amazfit Active Edge in mint green on clearance for $20.
Not the ideal color but $20 is s bargain.

I have the Cash card too. It appears to be still active, but I have done nothing with it since I got it.
Do you have it linked to a bank to take advantage of the boosts?

I haven't loaded my OnePay card yet. Since I can't load at SCO (Only tried once) because I have the permanent card not the temp card. I was just looking for another avenue to unload my Path MC's since I'm limited to just 1 swipe at the Money Center.

My experience is with Discover debit, MO's, and Amex Serve before I was shutdown.

If we are talking the Cash App card, I tried to link my Go Bank account to it, but the program that performs the linking of accounts on the Cash App card does not recognize Go Bank, only Go2 Bank. When I used my routing # and acct # for my Go Bank, it failed to link.

So there is no way for me to link my Go Bank to the Cash App card, and that is the only way I know to load the Go Bank card without a fee.

I have had many discussions with the less than helpful Greenbank CS reps who basically have told me to take a hike. Yet we know that the Go Bank routing number still works because Go happily takes my DD every month.

But the account costs me nothing, it pays small bills without me having to either write checks or deal with the USPS, and in all these years, only messed up once with its BP. So I am happy to keep it, and maybe even spend the $4 to fund $500 GC loads if necessary.

I just bought a One at Walmart and loaded using a VGC at SCO.

How much do you have to do before ONE shuts you down?

I only have one of three One Card accounts left. The first one to get closed was only a month or two old. I went hard and fast with $975 loads at multiple WMs and had a DD going to the account and liquidated via Bill Pay. The second one to get shut down was mostly $500 dollar loads at WM no more than once per day and five per week. I think that one lasted 6-8 months maybe and took a CFPB complaint to get my funds back over a couple months. The only one I have sees about $5-8K in loads per month and is liquidated via debit card transactions (CitiBank CC Payments, Insurance payments, taxes, and a few MOs and ATM withdrawals. Not the best card for large MSing, but it is still a decent MS card to keep one in the game.

How did you get more than one card? Can you get a new one once you get one closed?

I would presume he is using other people's ID and SSN to get a second and third card.

Since One is a bank demand deposit account, it has Federal rules requiring identification including a SS# or TaxID# for identity verification, as mandated by federal law (USA Patriot Act) for financial accounts.

While I imagine our lawyers can supply more detailed information, a quick review found the following:
18 U.S. Code § 1028 - Fraud and related activity in connection with identification documents, authentication features, and information
