I think I figured it out. I did not see any thread discussing about the limit of OneCard? It seems this is even better than the Discover card discussed in this thread?

new to this. where to find card application link? did they use GC to load it up?

There's application link on the physical card package in WM. GC to load works. It's good. No loading fee.

For some reason $1000 load results in an error. Have to do like $990 or so.

It's called One card. Local WM has a lot of these on the shelves can't miss it

how is oneCard better than discover? Discover you can load 1K per 24 hours, 1k is good for MSers so you dont have to deal with 990 etc.

I encountered a cashier at customer service refused to help and said he felt it is structuring (money laundering) if I load one card with more than one cards (split payments). How to educate him?

You don’t. You avoid loading when he’s working. That’s how it goes.

Can OneCard be unloaded via bill payment or transfers to checking (i.e. same methods as BB, Discover, etc)?

Transfer to checking account. Couldn't find any option for billpay

Wish they supported Zelle. But upon doing further digging this One Card isn't going to last long. They crack down hard on gebit loads.

You cannot educate people about split payments. You should avoid him. Also do not do split payments if being served by a different CSR while he is around. He will educate the other CSR's about his thoughts on 'structuring' and from there likely decide single swipes are not allowed either.

This just made me thinking: Will Discover see this as structuring? Loading with vgc at Walmart is indeed called cash load. So it is similar as you depositing cash to your checking account regularly. Will this cause account shut down by Discover?

Today I went to load 2 discover card each for a daily limit of 1K. There was new CSR, for the 1st card she asked her senior hey am I allowed to load 1K? the senior said yes. Then I said I have another account, the new CSR again went to ask her senior, I heard the senior say to her. would anyone load 1K to my account? I kind of laughed at that and I told the new CSR, the senior rep had a point. If I was withdrawing money she could be concerned, when loading money, I dont see a scam problem. it all depends on the CSRs you run into. some are strange

He was referring to buying the temporary card sold in Walmart store. You do no need to buy that first. Just apply online for free.

Chances are they do not recall the transaction or that you were involved.
Basically the register was down $500 cash at the end of shift. It may take a couple of days to shake out as there are multiple parties (CSR, WM Management, Discover, etc) but in the end there is a reasonable chance that the CSR involved may soon be looking for a new job.

Not sorting this out is bad form, and long term bad for the business of MS.

Its not too late to make this right, just go to desk, tell them you just noticed that the $500 was not debited from your account. They will not even ask what card you used

So first you stole $500 from the person who was logged in at the desk, and then you were relieved that nobody noticed?
