What do you mean by BestBuy's billing address?

When you use a non-US credit card, BestBuy tells you to use a specific billing address in Houston instead of your actual billing address. You can find it in their help section.

I usually get a ticket reply in minutes from them. Maybe you should add a friendly reminder to your ticket.

They’re taking a while, could be 10 days or so for some of mine but they’re all getting checked in. They sent an email out about their workers getting covid, and finding replacement hires.

TIA

Yes, it’s normal. Just add the tracking number for what you sent and they’ll check it in. You’re unlikely to hear anything otherwise. If you’re concerned I recommend opening a ticket instead of using email.

I placed a few orders today on bestbuy to ship directly to pointsmaker in Seaford, DE. However, all my orders were cancelled shortly afterwards saying that there is a limit on how many can be purchased. Since it is my first purchase, Im assuming the number is limited by the shipping address. Any suggestion and advice on how to circumvent this? Thanks in advance.

You can try a variation on the address e.g. Suite vs Bldg but once BBY flags an address it's nearly impossible to ship to it.

When shipping directly to buyformeretail.com, the item was received based on the tracking number, I checked the Shipments Summary and it shows "Closed" under status with no payout. The deal is no longer on their website, the deadline was today to get the item to them and the tracking number shows they received it yesterday. What does "Closed" mean under the status page?

Emailed and they corrected!

I just signed up with Pointsmaker and BFMR and I've never used a buying group before. It says on the instructions to only purchase from their links. Do they actually check? Do I need to submit the original purchase receipts? For example, if they have an Amazon link to something that's sold out, but I can get it for the same price or less locally, will they accept it if it's absolutely the same item?

BFMR has this in their FAQ:
7. Can I buy stuff and ship it to you myself?
Yes, but at this time, we do not provide shipping labels. Please package and ship the items but make sure you include the original receipts in the box you ship or it may not be accepted. We also ask that you keep a record of the serial numbers for each unit before shipping them out and remove any previous shipping label that contains a tracking number. Please note, this does not apply to apparel or sneakers which must be shipped directly from the retailer.

On the product page, BFMR usually states that they want you to contact them
in advance if you’re planning to buy the product from a merchant that’s not listed.

I'm new to Buying Clubs, and wanted to know is it normal for the deals posted and the pricing they list to be way different from the actual cost to purchase the item using their links? I've gone through a bunch of deals listed at BFMR and the price the club lists is way below what it costs to purchase the item, sometimes as much as $100 difference. Just curious if you have to find deals when they are first posted or if the purchase prices at the listed stores just rapidly changes all the time.

It is common and you need to be careful with checking prices even when a deal is first posted. Also deals will close and there will be deadlines to submit tracking numbers or you may need to cancel orders depending on the group. You definitely need to have a good tracking system in place.

Thanks for the info, I'll probably create a spreadsheet to track all the info. If its an issue on my side checking prices, I'm sure the links are coded, am I to assume Best Buy, Walmart etc. track and flag them which could prevent me purchasing? Or does it affect something else?

A $100 difference is NOT a huge difference. I have seen differences much greater than that.

Who is doing this successfully? Most of my orders have been getting cancelled -especially from Dell. TDB says to change your billing address to Oregon to avoid orders getting cancelled. Has anyone done that, and if so, do you do it with Chase or just in the Dell purchase form under billing address? Doesn't the billing address you give Dell have to match what Chase has on record in order for the CC transaction to be approved?
