Signing up to buy $1000 visa/mc gift cards
You can buy the $1000 cards on Simon's volume site. Their regular site only sells $500 cards.
If you're new, or haven't bought anything in a year, you need to register at https://www.simon.com/volume/register-consumer
As part of the registration process, you will have to go to a brick and mortar mall and buy at least $3000 in cards in person, as well as filling out some paperwork while there. After that, you can do everything online.
As of Nov 2020, Simon Mall Gift cards will only work for $99/swipe for money services at Walmart and many grocery chains.
$1000 gift cards are available indefinitely.

Man, if only Simon could somehow just get WU or MG money order capabilities in mall, LOL. I'd gladly pay a few dollars just to not have to deal with Walmart

$400 swipe from 1K Simon GC failed this morning at two Walmarts this morning.
It worked yesterday. Seems something changed again. Not good.

same experience here, I had a wm neighborhood that $999.12 was working as of yesterday, this morning wouldn't swipe $999.12 or $400

Same experience in SD. Yesterday, $400 swipes worked like a wonder. Not today...
I mean, we have a great relationship with our WM money center, but I would not want those guys to have to punch in $250 four times just to get one MO... Sucks

They're still working for 1k swipes at my grocery store, but it's a local regional chain and uses WU for its MOs. Did anyone here get failures at some big chain, like Kroger or Safeway? That's only way to tell if it's Meta's doing or WM.
I was able to get DE 200s to work today still.
