Signing up to buy $1000 visa/mc gift cards
You can buy the $1000 cards on Simon's volume site. Their regular site only sells $500 cards.
If you're new, or haven't bought anything in a year, you need to register at https://www.simon.com/volume/register-consumer
As part of the registration process, you will have to go to a brick and mortar mall and buy at least $3000 in cards in person, as well as filling out some paperwork while there. After that, you can do everything online.
As of Nov 2020, Simon Mall Gift cards will only work for $99/swipe for money services at Walmart and many grocery chains.
$1000 gift cards are available indefinitely.

There are reports on the “buying MOs at Walmart” thread that nobody is having success with any Metas at WM regardless of where purchased Seems to be all over the US

Somedays no problem, other days sometimes you need a second swipe, rarely a third swipe is needed. IME if a 2nd swipe is needed it works ~ > 90% of the time. It feels like mostly Wally and occasionally Krog. I don’t remember any issue at Albert.
interesting observation Today. If you bought volume online - go to view cards and hit balance - it randomly shows “ general error” “ no status”. It flips between actual zero balance and this message - I’m curious if anyone else mentioned or observed this - apologies if I’m being redundant.
Wouldn't this indicate a Blackhawk/Metabank problem?
Liquidated a total 12 cards today a mix of 1 Wally and 11 grocery. Yesterday 10 cards - about half Wally I don’t remember too many fails yesterday.

WM is spitting back 3 different error codes:

I am counting it as good news that there seems to be errors when checking the balance of Meta's. Hopefully this is the cause of all of the errors and something that seems like would be fixed. Nonetheless I guess I won't be placing any more orders until this gets cleared up.

The check balance feature on list of cards in a particular order have always been doing that. So that’s nothing new. You will get a balance after clicking on it few times.
I have not been able to use any of my Simon VGCs today at Walmart. Gonna wait and see what happens ... I wouldn’t be surprise if Walmart decided to crack down on this since OV has been banned for years now. Took them long enough tbh ...

Are you saying that you have 11 grocery stores in your area that you can liquidate at? That is pretty awesome, as all of my grocery stores no longer allow debit MO purchases without your name embossed on the card.

My $500's from Tom Thumb (Safeway) that won't work at WM are also 4358's with exp of 01/29.

4551 720X XXX the XXXXs are same for 3-4 weeks worth of cards. Kind of scary actually, since last digit is checksum, that means only 10k possible numbers exist for this series. Not too hard for some hacker to guess.
