SS cards haven't earned me any at Shaw's in the Northeast region so far. Might try the Visa Go tomorrow.

Is there a reason why the SS cards are more desirable than the regular gift cards? Is it because they work at Wal*Mart for buying MOs?

For the time being...yes.

However, just as the retail industry (AKA WM ) discovered that Simon was jerking them around with a $1000 VGC and promoting that fact to the gamesters thereby leading to the current state of affairs with that card, so too will the industry discover the new dog on the street and proceed to neuter it as well

I buy incomm SS and regular Vanilla VGC at CVS on regular basis….$2k limit per 24hr period. They both work the same at Kroger stores for MO….I don’t bother with Walmart MO anymore since It’s a real PITA there now….too many changes….not worth my time when Kroger is easy peasey.

Who thinks that Safeway will run a promo on the new variable VISA cards, since it's a new vendor?

MO Datapoints with new cards:

SS: Works great at Albersons/Vons. Does not work at Smiths Foods. I don't go to WM anymore.

Vanilla Visa: Worked last week at Smiths Foods, but today tried at two different Smiths -- worked at one and not at the other. Works at Albertsons/Vons of course.

Can anyone confirm if MO is dead at Albertsons? I am in Southern California and purchased SMGC cards at local Simon mall and could not get it to work at nearby Albertsons. Have always worked before.

West coast seems dead. Check the Simon mall thread.
