Is there any way to add the account number to the check for my mortgage payment to Chase?

How do folks get a check applied to an account in someone else's name?

I included my mortgage account # when I set up the payment, I think. You might want to put the property address on there too.

You can then call Chase once Plastiq shows that the check has been cashed to make sure they applied it to the right account.

I didn't see a field for it. It has name and address and a drop down menu with type of business (no memo or comment field). Did you fit it in one of those fields?

Can't edit the wiki due to post constraints.

Have used AmEx Platinum on Plastiq multiple times to pay rent.

Do you guys think it would be helpful if I chatted with AX before posting a $6k Plastiq payment? I'm nervous they will flag my account for atypical activity. FR/points frozen would suck. New plat biz.

Card processed for rent on 1/21. Check sent out 1/23. Still no rent check arriving to landlord. What a nightmare.

Oof that's rough, is this the first time you've tried it? I wonder if there's an issue with the address or something. I've used Plastiq to pay rent for at least the last 6 months, and no issues at all.

It is my first time--paying rent-- but I've used Plastiq for car payments previously with no issues.

Chatting with them to cancel the check was easy. They couldn't be any friendlier, but I wish they can track this mail.

I had a similar issue but with a test payment of $1. From payment to hitting my bank, it was 15 days. You're now two more days. I asked Plastiq about tracking, too, and do wish they had that service. I'd pay up to $1 extra for tracking (esp on big or important payments).

The funny thing is that in the 17 days since I submitted payment, I hit the bonus for the Amex Hilton Surpass, and reversing the charge for this rent will put me under the threshold.

Hope there's no clawback/FR.

I was wondering if anybody uses Paypal Business Debit Card only reloaded with PPMC to pay off loans on Plastiq? I couldn't find any firm data points on shutdowns doing this.

As long as their 'check my spending power' tool indicates you can charge 6k, I wouldn't worry. I've done amounts far larger than that with Plastiq and other merchants and it's not been a problem. Go for it!
