serve transfers to my bank taking longer than usual the past week. anyone else?

I believe others have mentioned a similar issue further back in the thread.

Help! Sorry.. bit rusty since MIA for few years. I have one each old working Serve and BB. Are loads at WM/FD/DG free?
Also what is the trick now a days to load MCGC at WM? hit cancel/change payment or have the POS changed and its something different now?

YMMV.
Some WM have performed a POS update that will prevent any GC from being used to load Serve (not sure about BB). It'll come up as something like invalid tender or something. The WM closest to me has unfortunately gotten this update. I've not tried with BB though.

Otherwise, I believe it depends on the type of MCGC. Because of that, I always use Metabank Visa GC.

Serve is taking multiple additional business days beyond the stated transfer time for bank transfers and verifications. Anyone bothered to call in and find out more info or just staying patient?

I still have a transfer pending from 9/18. I'm not going to call though. I doubt any of us are willing to put human eyes on our accounts.

On a side note, are there any DP's for unactivated cards from past shutdowns? I've got 5 Serves now and have 1 actively in use and 4 not activated. Is it best for me to activate the other 4 and leave them dormant or not activate them at all? I also have 2 BB's so far, 1 activated/dormant and 1 inactive (I'm small scale right now and only need 1 Serve for liquidation). If a shutdown happens will my dormant BB also be affected? I know it's all YMMV, but would like to hear past (recent'ish) DP's if available.

With reports of extended transfer times out of BB/Serve, wouldn't it be easier to just pull cash out of the ATM at Walmart and get it right away? Limit is $750/day right? Which wouldn't take very long to draw down a $5000/mo load limit. Is there any shutdown risk to simply withdrawing cash from the ATM and depositing it in your checking account where you pay CC from?

I am trying to register a amex card which I brought from Walmart . I cant register the card and it says we cant approve the card . Will calling help ? any ways to get around this

If you have been banned, you can't just buy a temp BB card from WM and register that card to workaround the ban issue. If that is the case there would be a ton of people still using BB. It doesn't matter if you were banned by BB or Serve. The ban applies for both cards since its tied to your SSN and some other things probably.

My understand is that you are not supposed to activate the extra Serve/BB cards. You only activate a card when the previous one is shut down. So a good idea is to load up with several Serve/BB cards before starting to use the first one for MS purposes.

had some issues loading at FD the since Oct 1.i went to 4 FD and was only able to load 1.
the other three locations gave me an error, two said"declined do not honor" and one showed "card issuer or Switch inoperative".

has any1 seen these errors before?

So due to discrepancies/inconsistencies in DP's I've decided to activate but leave dormant 5 of the cards (3 serve, 2 bb) and leave 4 completely unactivated (1 serve, 3 bb). 1 serve is currently activated/in use. I guess I'll know for sure next shutdown which method (activated but dormant vs unactivated) survives, if any.
