Avoid stores in so called "bad side of town" where most stores have rails on their doors/windows. If you have to load, choose a time where store is busy and lots of people in the parking lot, avoid going there at night. If you find DGs near rich neighborhoods, try those instead of the ones in the ghettos.

Aw, crap. I was going off the info from the Wiki (at the top of this thread), which states in multiple places that this counts for min spend requirement.

Any chance somebody with permissions could edit these sections of the Wiki (at the top of this thread)? Unfortunately, I cannot edit because I haven't been a member of FlyerTalk for at least 90 days. I already took out an AmEx Serve based on inaccurate info from the Wiki, and I'd hate for this to happen to somebody else.

Went back right after store open this morning, was able to load. Felt horrible there's an old (homeless?) woman sitting outside near the store (in light snow) and I'm in store loading $500 to my card. Damn.

Tried applying for a serve for my son (18 years old). He has good credit (~725) although only through authorized user cards. Rejected by serve, "Unfortunately we cannot approve you". Tried again from a PC (first was from a phone) thinking maybe it didn't like the address, but same error. Both emails have a card number (last four digits in them) so any chance this is some temporary issue on the amex side? Afraid to try using my name/SSN as I already have and don't want to get blocked by them.

Now they just emailed my son telling him to finish his application. ...?

Is there another prepaid card similar to Serve that allows multiple, small debit loads to meet a bank's transaction requirement for higher interest? Can't do Amazon loads since we'll be overseas and won't be using Amazon anymore.

You can try Circle or Google Wallet. Not sure how they would react to multiple small debit card transactions on the same day. There is nothing in the Terms that specifically address this.

Already banned from Circle. Did 8 $1+ debit loads and they canned me the next day. And I had an old Google Wallet Biz profile so they're not letting me use it even though I deleted the biz profile.

How can I convince the cashiers at WM to load my Serve at the regular register? I know it is possible to do it, but they always direct me to customer service. What a pain, I could be doubling my volume..

Try the youngins, sometimes they'll direct you to MC because they don't know the code so if you tell them what to press, they comply. However, if there is a store memo that loading prepaids must be done strictly at MC or customer service center, nothing you can do but try another store.

I'm going to rinse and repeat for the first time with Serve. I'm currently at the max number of accounts. Any idea how long after canceling until I can open a new one? As in, is it instantaneous or should I wait 24 hours or something?

Can you load Serve with WM VGC's by Green Dot? I tried to reload $500 and failed.

I have three OneVIP Serve accounts and three separate online logins. Due to poor record keeping, I do not know which log in is for which card. Is there anyway to figure it out (besides loading each one with a different amount of $)?
