Hey man, do some reading. Most of those questions have been answered in this thread plenty or can be found out pretty easily on the Serve website.

I've done weeks of reading up on this. Its just that info is always changing or it's hard to follow being a newbie with all the options. Will you be able to at least point me in the right direction as to what gift card to purchase to load the Serve card. Thank you in advance.
Just beware that it may take you weeks or months to fully understand. As you found out, a lot of things have changed but basic principles of MS remain and as long as you know the basics, you will figure out how to navigate and avoid issues. Best for you to go to Serve, BlueBird websites so you know the terms and conditions on each card. People will be inclined to help you if you ask for clarification which means you have already a basic knowledge. And last, but not the least, know that google is your friend. |
Loading Multiple $200 Cards
I have 2 $200 VGC that I want to load onto Serve. When I go to load ahould I do two separate $200 transactions or tell the cashier $400 load and swipe each card once? Thanks

Needs to be two separate loads, I believe.
for newbies, best to do one until they're well versed doing split tender. If cashier does not know how to so split tender and inputs full amount that is higher than first DC, you'll get error 51, debit not available. |

NO, you can do it one transaction; just find a cashier that knows how to do split tender.

I just got my first card, did a CC load, my 2nd attempts have been failing. Uploaded my info and called with the rep saying my account was cleared after 20 minutes but I'm still getting "Technical difficulties". Could this actually be a general error and not just my account?

Just did $1500 in loads ($500 ea @ three different FD's within 30 min of one another in the LA area) to a OneVIP. The fourth FD I tried spit out the "invalid merchant" notice. Tried a second time and no dice. Went to FD #5 and same result. Then tried to load a different OneVIP with the same FB VGC (should have tried a different VGC also at this point but I didn't think to) and same result. Going to try Walmart next with different OneVIP but worried this could be the end for me.
I'm trying to find alternative ways to empty my Simon GC's. So far I've been circling 4 WM's and 1 Stop and Shop in the Boston area to unload $9500. Charles Schwab recently shutdown my account, I still have my TDBank left and I'm looking at the Serve card now. I've read through the Wiki and all through 11 pages of this thread. What is the limit per transaction for loading the Serve card at a Family Dollar? For example, once I'm done circling the 4 WM's, can I stop by 1 Family Dollar and load the remaining $1500 onto my serve card in 1 shot? Or do I need to go to 3 FD's? I'm on business right now. I fly home for 10 days, then fly back out again. I'm planning on MS'ing at least $10k, hopefully $20k before I get back on the road. My application to Everbank is in limbo now because I can't get access to a fax machine. So right now, I just have TDBank and Serve for depositing my MO's or GC's. Thank you. |

If by chance you have DollarGen, they can do back2back transactions there on the SAME card (ymmv, of course) Good luck!

a lot of DPs say limit of one $500 per FD although at my go to FD, I load UP to four different 1VIPs with success, I don't know what buttons the SM pushes that my transactions don't get flagged. From what I've read, some stores are just limited to ONE $500 load so if someone came there ahead of you, you can't load anymore. Try it at YOUR FD, it's always YMMV but if you're loading just ONE card, it may not work but still worth trying. What does FD and DP mean? =D

It was an account I valued too. So sucks to be me. I didn't find out by letter because I was on travel. A a CS rep had to tell me by phone saying "your account will be closing in # days" I'm still learning. Thanks guys. |

Blah.. If it's only $500, I'll probably just stick with Stop and Shop for my last $1500. I just need more than 1 bank account now.
What does FD and DP mean? =D I went Ham on it. I had a thread a few weeks ago about my account closing. I think I deposited over $100k in a few months. It was an account I valued too. FWIW I found another bank that has free worldwide ATMs and is only a soft pull to open. Right now it's invite only and I don't have an account yet. |
